Would never use this company again. They sent out 2 techs to do our pool opening (one slept in the car the whole time) and the other tech left without making anyone aware. We realized they were gone when we got an invoice for over $500 sent to our email- the pool opening WASN?T EVEN COMPLETE. Come to find out the tech snapped our automatic chlorinator and then just left. The earliest they could even replace the part was almost 1 week later- we were able to get one delivered from Amazon the next day. Did they credit us the cost? NOPE. The best they could do was $150 (cost us $200). But they were about to charge us $375 to come out and replace what they broke (sent us a proposal for the part they broke). A joke. Oh and did they come back and finish the pool opening? Also no. They left the pool deck a mess, and the pool off. We finished the pool opening and had to backwash/scrub. Save your money and pay a small business who actually takes pride in their work and isn?t out to rob you.

I used Pool Scouts for the first time to open my pool. We are now at appointment number 4 to attempt to open my green pool with still no hope of it being open. This appointment I was finally home for to see them clean it. During this cleaning they kept smacking my string lights with the pole used to clean the pool and now they are pulled down. They are supposed to be cleaning the pool for 30 minutes but instead they sat in my front yard for 20 minutes in their van. They have used my hose and just left it laying in my pool after using it. During this cleaning both technicians went to the side of my gate in front of my camera and peed on my house. The second one was atleast smart enough to notice the camera before he started and say I think she can still see us. I am just so frustrated and disappointed at this point. I have contacted the company and the explanations I have been given by the manager Sherri this is not magic its not just going to be clean. That is correct it is a business and its actually science. Lets keep in mind my pool is a year old and was professionally closed last year. Then when I reached out about the issues that happened at this appointment and was told that the technicians have been warned and at this point it is what it is. I have never been spoken to as a customer in such an unprofessional manner especially considering how much money I have already paid this company for the terrible service I have received since day one.

This company is a rip off. Do not even consider them. I have never heard of a pool company opening a pool and then call in the Green team if your pool is green. They can really rake in some money. So, you pay $400 for that service and additional if your pool is green. Also, the tech did not program the pool properly.. It was not even set to chlorinate.. I'm going to pass this word in other public forums. The first red flag was when they started talking about the Green team

Did a great job but had multiple issues with scheduling. Thank goodness my husband works from home and can be flexible!

PS Said installed new de grids. Technician took pictures of new grids in box and old grids in filter and sent emailed receipt of service with pictures. Completed picture was of rubber mat or something not of new grids in place. I wondered about that picture immediately. Filter not filtering correctly throughout summer Opened filter myself and old grids were still in there. Technician is a dishonest POS.

Professional, timely and dedicated

I am so impressed with Pool Scouts. They are so efficient. They clean your pool, make suggestions of what is needed to keep it clean and running well and even send you a picture of the cleaned pool. They most definitely will be hired back next year!

So far, they have done everything that they said that they were going to do. I would be happy to recommend theme. They have dine a good job.

The techs were very professional every time they came to service my pool. We are still in the process of getting it clear but they are always patient when I have questions. We have decided to hire them for weekly visits.

They were not knowledgeable or professional enough for my job.. I scheduled a filter cleaning and a green pool cleaning service After 3 visits, including repetitive improper potentially damaging chemical application processes and a 8 hour unmonitored running water hose, there was minimal progress. Knowing the status, the owner was satisfied w/his level of service and suggested that I pay for an additional visit to work ?towards? a clear pool. I severed that relationship but not soon enough. I?m in the hole $$ trying to get out from under the mistakes that were made.

They were supposed to open it for 199, actually 175 since you get 25 off for referrals, they did everything right but decided on their own that since Pool was green, they would add chemicals which they did not, just threw in a bunch of shock (which according to website is included in their pool opening without chemicals) and sent me an invoice for 290. When I called and spoke they said since pool was green they did it and also they ante me to sign up for a 3 visit green pool plan at 100 per visit. Nope.

A 5.0 Pool Company! Did an Outstanding job! I was apprehensive due to reviews, but oh my goodness, these guys are fantastic at what they do! Turned my green swampy pool into a beautiful inviting blue one! Earnest has years of experience and knows exactly what he s doing. Their admin is also outstanding with scheduling, negotiations, and billing. I even called them again for my diving board removal (due to insurance requirements). Patrick came out and removed the diving board promptly. Their invoices include pictures of all the work they do, so all I had to do was forward that to my insurance company! If I could attach before and after pictures I would! Choose these guys over all others!

We hired Pool Scouts to open our pool this year and we have been disgusted with the quality of their work. I wasn t going to write a review, but here we are trying to close the pool and still having problems because of them. #1 they opened the pool and never turned on the salt cell; #2 they destroyed a brand new pool cover bag and put a hole in the pool cover and now #3 they tightened the fastners into the cement so tight they are stripped and unable to get them up to place the cover!!!!!! If you dont want to spend more money fixing what they ruin DO NOT HIRE them!

Completed the task and gave sound recommendations to maintain the pool. answered my questions too.

Spent $400 some for 3 days, 45 minutes each day. They showed up when we were not there. I cleaned up more leaves than they did.

Pool Scouts was stunningly disappointing. My previous pool company closed because the owner retired, so I had to look for a new company. Reviews on HomeAdvisor led me to Pool Scouts. When they contacted me, I was sold on the fact that they told me the pool would look great, clean and ready to use, once the opening was completed. When I arrived home I was surprised to find the pool was still quite dirty with significant debris still on the bottom, and plenty floating on the water. The pool does not seem to be operating correctly (admittedly I have not looked at it closely), and the water is over the skimmers. I could not have been more disappointed, but I presumed that maybe they would be coming back to finish. I found out otherwise when I called, and I was told that the pool opening does not promise a clean or swimmable pool. This clearly contradicted what I was told when they were selling me on their service. Needless to say what I got for their price was far inferior to what I got from my previous company for the same money. I am angry and I feel like I was duped. Buyer beware.

I ask company to come out to vacuum pool, they came out and changed meter, added chemicals and salt to pool which I already did. I just needed pool vacuum , my pool has look like hell all summer long now , they came back out to make it right but added more salt , so my salt level is 4000 above, I was told by local pool supply store is to drain pool, no one will return my call, I was told would be no charge, because of situation , girl who answer phone said it was her mistake. because it was written up wrong, but now I was sent a bill , wow I cant even use my pool , it is green may next year

Great service quality and value. Needs to improve communication between office and customers; when promising call back they often "forget". Improvements here would give a 5 rating.

They were very professional and overall did a great job! The pool liked great after their work. I would recommend them and will use them in the future! 😀

Pool Scouts have been very professional and customer friendly. They know their profession and are eager to help. I have had to postpone any more services for repairs and maintenance because I am tied up with a home warranty service when we bought our home, but they have been very understanding. As soon as this work is done under warranty I will be calling them right back! Can’t wait to have them as my regular pool expert.

I recommend them to anyone. They did an absolutely terrific job for us.
