Comment: In my 50+ years of dealing with contractors Brandon Colton of Pool Tech Plus and Clear Water Pools is the Worst of the Worst. He has been working on building our pool for almost 2 years and still has 4 outstand punch list Items that have not been completed. He is a liar and a cheat and loves to pray on senior citizens, he will come up with some cute little answer telling you he is a single parent, even though the mother to his child works as a pool cleaner for him and has most times had the daughter with her why she cleaned our pool. Before you even think about talking to him Goggle his name and you will see a TV reporter's account of the seniors he has cheated, â I gave him everything I had:â Woman pays $40K to SC pool company, still waiting on dream pool (wistv.com) This guy is bad news and should be avoided, or you will be sorry like most of his customers. I have every text and e-mail to document ever lie and broken promise he ever told us and plan on passing this information on to everyone in the Carolinas along with court action Recommended? No

Swimming Pool Cleaning and Maintenance Service
Brandon and his crew have been cleaning and maintaining our inground pool for the past 4 months. To date, the pool is always clean and in excellent condition. I trust them to do this work even though this is a vacation home and we are not in the area every week. Brandon came out on an emergency service call on a Sunday to walk us through what needed to be done. He is very responsive to calls and texts.

This pro was awesome until I asked him to close my pool for the season. He was angry and tried to talk me out of closing the pool 3 times. He stopped by threw a handful of chemicals in the pool disconnected everything charged me four hundred dollars. He also took my salt generator cell with him to clean it and never returned it. At this point, I do not know if he will ever bring my part back. He also replaced my pool motor this past summer. It has been leaking ever since he installed it. He came by at least 10 times since the install to clean the pool and balance chemistry and never bothered to fix the leak. He is a good guy, do not know why he is acting this way. Also I was at this house during the hurricane. Brandon charged me for a weekly cleaning however he never came that week, I spent 8 hours cleaning the pool after the hurricane. I politely asked if he made a mistake on my bill instead of calling him out for charging me and not doing the service. Update: he apparently came by and brought my salt cell back and I see silicone on the motor, he had no permission to come onto my property without me being home but did it anyway, I would avoid this company. Not knowing he returned my part as I was not at this house for a few weeks, I reached out to him via text to try to schedule a time to get my salt cell back as he cancelled the last 2 appointments we made. He responded that the parts were put back and not to contact him ever again. I do not know why he is so angry. He asked me to write him a review stating he comes by like clock work every week even if the homeowner is not home, but he has proved he does not show up every week, but charges you like he did.

"During our time as service provider for Robert, we often met or exceeded expectation and were often praised. As the winter months approached, Robert request our advice regarding winter pool service. We explained we typically do pool service every other week during the off season. In later weeks, Robert requested that we close his pool, as he would not be at the home for the foreseeable future. We again explained the Robert that closing his pools and then re opening his pool in the spring would be more expensive then keeping his pool healthy during the winter. We also explained the risks prematurely closing his pool, as it was dark blue and the pool will develop algae before the true winter temps take effect. Since we have responded to his complaint, he has (Updated) modify he statement . Again in a dishonest fashion. Yes, we did accidentally invoice him for a clean up post hurricane. However, Robert fails to include it was an innocent error and we removed said charges instantly. We have Roberts text showing he requested we come to his house to re install salt cell and address the leak. We went out with in a day of his request. As Robert has stated this house was not his primary. Therefore, we OFTEN serviced his pool while the family was up north, this was common. Robert is being dishonest in statements regarding access to the property. Even his statement that I would request a rating from him is shady. I did request a rate in April when things were on good terms. Why would we request on once we terminated working with the client. Pool Tech Plus understand not all personalities work together. It is our goal to seek a positive outcome. However, Roberts dishonesty and miss representation of the relationship in question have forced us to request that he not contact us and has left us determining whether to take legal action against him."

New gas heater install and conversion to salt water system. Brandon was prompt and kept us informed during the entire install process. The work was done professionally and aesthetically pleasing (even for a pool heater!). Brandon provided lots of useful information for maintaining the pool chemistry which can only be learned from experience. Will definitely use Pool Tech Plus for any future pool needs.
