I just completed my move yesterday and everything was EXCELLENT. I cannot express how happy I am with all aspects of the process. I will start by saying I did a ton of research before selecting my movers. Popeye had the most transparent pricing and best customer service. I had about 50 questions all of which my sales rep helped me with. I opted for the full move with packing service (highly recommend). The day of my move I literally did nothing and just sat there while 3 men efficiently and carefully packed every single item in my 1 bedroom LA apartment. Fast forward to the destination -- all my stuff arrived undamaged. The team made sure I was happy with the location of items, opened boxes, and even hung up my clothes. I am not an easy client to deal with as I am extremely picky and attentive to detail but Popeye was exceptional and I am so happy.

Hiring a moving company was the best decision we could of made. After a quick search and lots of positive reviews we hired Popeye Movers (luckily they were available on the date). We went with the 3 men + truck service $147 per hour and from the time they arrived until the time we were all set-up in the new apartment was as fast as possible The whole team were super quick and careful all of our furniture was perfectly wrapped and no damage whatsoever. The whole experience was amazing. They kept asking me where I would like the furniture to be placed. I could not believe that in such a short time we had our whole apartment wrapped packed & moved to another location. Thank you so much. We highly recommend Popeye

These guys are FANTASTIC! We used them the last time we moved and we used them again this time. We moved out of our home and still had a week before we could get into the new one. They stored our belongings in their storage facility for us. The guys who come are always incredibly respectful and polite. They also bust their butts the entire time they are working. They work straight through to finish as quickly as possible
.no smoke breaks (I do not think any of them smoke) not disappearing to get a sandwich, just supers polite and careful hard workers. They show you the exact time it is when they start working and they work really fast. Also, they take care of your things. Our TVs were wrapped with the care and they always took note if something was fragile. I cannot emphasize any more how great their work ethic is. If we ever move again, We will be using them. Definitely worth the investment of hiring them Popeye s if you are moving.

Usually, the words "great " and "moving" don't go together but this was truly a painless, friendly, professional and easy move from DTLA penthouse to Century City. I highly recommend their services. Nothing but good things to say about Popeye Moving. On short notice we hired them to move our apartment move about 15 miles. Their bid process was simple with Patrick and they were very good at constant communications. When moving day arrived their three chaps who where courteous and efficient - wearing their Popeye uniform shirts. The leader Ariel explained the process and cost and had me sign off. They set about wrapping and protecting the furniture and were expeditious but careful. I was also loading some personal effects in my car and we had some fun back and forth banter. I really liked all of them. They arrived at the new location and showed the same efficiency and care for my belongings. They reassembled our dining table and bedroom set with care. After tidying up they presented their bill which I was happy to pay along with a tip. They did not waste any time which was important because I was paying an hourly rate. Would highly recommend this firm. They are a bit higher priced per hour than some others but as they say you get what you pay for. This firm is top notch and would absolutely use again.

I really recommend Popeye Moving they have been around for a long time & a can clearly see why. I found them after a good friend of mine recommended them. I reached out with our building requirements a COI, workers comp insurance, and a move to be completed before 5 pm. After emailing back and forth a couple times we jumped on a quick call to discuss our needs. Patrick in the office was totally understanding, knew exactly what was needed and scheduled our move to start early to ensure we would be within the building moving hours. I immediately felt at ease with Popeye Moving & Patrick, I can tell they are experienced in the complexity of moving in & out of buildings & I felt more relaxed straight away. The day before the move they followed up to confirm/finalize all the details. They arrived 10 minutes early with a team of 4. I did a walk through with Ariel and the guys got started right at 8 a.m.. The crew were in beast mode lugging our stuff down the stairs in a flash of an eye. They wrapped and ensured all our belongings got out and in safe and sound. They arrived at the new building and quickly started unpacking the truck, unwrapping the furniture, placed it where it should be, assembling the beds, and they took all their trash with them. From start to finish they finished our move 15 minutes over the estimated time. They were quick, courteous, and nothing but helpful. Ariel and his team helped alleviate any move related stress, they were awesome. Thank you, Popeye Moving!

I just finished my move with these guys and I had a great experience. The reservation process was very easy and customer service was extremely responsive and helpful. Patrick picked up a phone very quickly. I especially like that the pricing includes all the tape, blankets, and wardrobe boxes for my clothes. The moving team arrived and got everything packed up extremely quickly. Estimate for the whole job was 6-8 hours, they finished it in 5 hours. I had expected everything to take longer than it did so I was pleasantly surprised when they dropped the last of my items off and told me they were done. Overall, Great experience! Made my move so much easier. The movers were very efficient, respectful, and on time.

Patrick in the office helped me move from Santa Monica to Century City. Popeye did an excellent job helping me move all of my furniture and went the extra mile in making sure nothing was scratched or damaged in the process! They also helped me determine the placement of my large furniture as I have a XL sectional sofa that seemed impossible to fit in my dimensions of my new living room - they both setup the sectional perfectly! They did an excellent job communicating when they would arrive to my apartment and to my new home and explained all of the paperwork in detail. If you decide to use this company for your move, I would recommend them. This was the best moving experience I have had and I have used 3 different moving companies. I will definitely be using this company in the future.

This company was very professional and made moving much less stressful. They responded quickly with a quote, followed up by email and had a straightforward booking process. They talked with me and sent the right number of people for the job. They confirmed everything the day beforehand, and then called 30 minutes before arrival. The movers showed up within the indicated time, and were very professional and efficient. The item we were most worried about was our vintage decorative piano which to us is irreplaceable & they moved it very well. They managed to pack everything fast and carefully into the truck by making sure everything was tightly packed. Overall, fantastic, professional service. Thanks!

The process was easy and everyone interacted with his friendly and responsive. My movers packed me up then positioned all my furniture reassemble the beds put all the boxes in the right room for me. That was an issue with insurance for the building which I didn t realize but the Popeyes office handled that quickly So was very helpful.

Stefan and the team at Popeye moving and storage did a spectacular job on my move and there is no way I could have done it without them. They turned a stressful task into something that looking back was a seamless process. One day before the move, able, Alex and David came and helped with packing. They did more in one day then we could in a month. It was a huge stress relief. Fast but safe and careful. I did not want to pack my boxes and they did a great job and just charged me per box. The wardrobe boxes were included for free which is great as I have so
So many clothes. On the day of our big move able lead the team and they did a spectacular job. I have some nice furniture and artwork pieces and other difficult items. The most difficult was a large sectional couch which was carefully wrapped and moved they manage to do it and Kathleen maneuvered everything onto the truck. Overall I really appreciated the attitudes of everyone who helped over the move process. They were super nice and positive, fast but most importantly careful and safe. When dealing with a stressful situation like a move you want people like that, also communication throughout the process was outstanding. Stephen from the office was a pleasure to deal with always answered my questions and was super responsive. Thank you so much!

We've moved a lot -- including 2 cross country moves one from NYC and another from the Mid West but this was local from house to house is Los Angeles so we feel pretty qualified to judge movers and the folks at Popeye Moving & Storage were very easy to work with. This most recent move had an extra stop to drop off two pieces of furniture at a friend's apartment and had to take place over 2 days due to building restrictions. So there was a lot that could go wrong, but nothing did. Our move's team was led by Ariel and all the guys were professional and friendly. Look...moving sucks, so your goal as the person moving is to make it as least sucky as possible. The folks at Popeye definitely did that...and more. I think we are finally done we don't want to move....ever again, but if we do we would gladly use Stephan & the team at Popeye Moving - they are modern & up to date but give an old school quality feel to the service they provide.

Had the Best moving experience! Everything was done quick and efficiently. I was worried the movers would be slow and slack off since I was moving on a on hourly rate... just had bad experience with movers before... but nope! The movers at Popeye Moving CO. wasted no time! They were super quick - finished my move in like 5 hrs (we have a lot of stuff). They were also right behind me when we were driving to the new apartment. Would definitely recommend this company if you are moving.

I have moved many times in my lifetime, and hopefully this last move will be my last for a long time.⠨⠨I used Popeye Moving based on A referral from a good friend who used them back in 1998, and overall, they did an excellent job.  For me, there are several aspects you look for when needing a moving service.  Affordability, speed, efficiency, and courtesy.⠨⠨Pricing wise, it was about average, and I've had faster movers do my moving, but the guys from Popeye Moving were by far the most courteous movers I've ever had.  They were punctual, polite, respectful of my things, and definitely made me feel very comfortable that they were going to do their best.  I had 4 movers come out, and they were all very considerate and hard working.  The big truck was filled to the brim, and I was very worried that not everything would fit, but they made it work.  Just barely.  I have to give special thanks to Stephan for making it happen since he was the one that literally used all his tetris playing skills and made my furniture fit perfectly in the limited space.  Did I mention my new place has a ton of stairs?⠨⠨Thank you Popeye Moving! I really appreciate that everything was moved and nothing was broken.  What a load off my mind.

I chose this moving company based on the a referral from a close friend of mine who had used Popeye Moving before and I and happy that I contacted them and arranged my move. I did everything online and through the website to request a quote & they called me back to go over the pricing & provide a quote. The owner (Stephan, I think was his name) spoke to me before he sent his crew an he even popped in on the move day to check I was happy & everything was going well. The Moving guys came on time and they were so professional and worked quickly and moved all of my stuff carefully an efficiently. I hired this company, paid in advance $394.00 to move piano and adjustable into another room until carpet was laid and they would come back and restore bed and piano, they did not move the piano, took down the adjustable bed, call them to come back and restore, Mark told me I had to pay again and they not coming. took one leg off piano and left it the corner of room on it's side.

"Clarence: We showed up exactly as planned. You & your carpet people are 100% to blame for all of this because they did not show up at all. We were supposed to do our job all in one visit and work alongside with the carpet installers. Since they never showed up while we were there, I have no idea why you would think that we would come back a 2nd time to finish the job for free. I even warned you prior to you ever booking the job that if the carpet people were late or didn't show up, that this might happen, but "YOU" decided to go ahead with it anyway's. So, don't blame us for your horrible planning. This is 100% on you and your carpet people. We did absolutely nothing wrong and we feel that your complaint is ridiculous. I talked to your daughter afterwords and even she told me that "YOU" blew it. So, I'm sorry you're not happy with us, but that's just plain wrong on your part. We did 100% of what we were supposed to do and on your end, "NOTHING" happened the way it was supposed to. That's all on you. I'm still sorry it happened, but once again, I tried to tell you that this could happen in advance, so I'm not the least bit surprised that it did happen! They were awesome. Arrived on time, worked like crazy until the move was completed. My only issue, which I was aware ahead of time, was the 4 hour minimum. I live in another state than my daughter, and I really did not know how much stuff she has! Just from knowing her, I assumed she had much more stuff than she actually had. So, from beginning to end was less than 3 hours. I knew about the minimum, so the company is not at fault. I just overpaid due to my daughters' lack of stuff to move.
