hired porch makeovers to install a patio door and a storm door at a future date. He agreed to do the work then arbitrarily cancelled on me. In addition he was $300 over any pro in the local Fork River area. Take it as a consumer I would not hire Porch make overs because he was after dollars not a good reputation and you don't leave a customer hanging. Less

"Dave neglected to admit he emailed that he had already had the job done by someone else.That was before I backed out of the job. I didn't trust him. When he asked me to look at the job initially, the description of the damage to the patio door and storm door were blown in. To me it didn't look possible. I n all my years doing doors I never seen nature do the kind of damage I seen.The two doors I witnessed were not accidental or weather related. Up front he said he was getting all the replacement parts he needed, but contacted with questions about sizes. I m glad we never met."

It took 2 plus months to receive our doors (initially was told it would take 4 weeks) which was upsetting. However, the door was installed the next day once the door arrived. Great job, cleaned up after themselves, no complaints. Would recommend them if you are not in a hurry.

I was surprised the contractor wanted payment in advance. I had some money with me and I had some money at my shore house, so I paid cash at the signing of the contract.

"H/O offered cash, so I took it. A deposit would of sufficed, but he paid it all. Job has been completed as ordered very quickly. We also painted the trim around the door."

I had a gate and railings installed in my home for the safety of my 96 year old father. The craftsmanship of the work performed was amazingâwell done. I am very satisfied with the sturdiness of the railings and gate. Art is very knowledgeable about his craft, easy to work with and explained all of the work in detail. The wood was stained to the exact color we discussed. Art was always on time and easy to reach by phone. He was very prompt in returning phone calls. I added some additional work requests and he was very accommodating. He completed my job on schedule.

He repaired the entrance door and its lock set and saved me money on the storm door by simply changing the tumbler. Art is my go to guy..
