We hired them to demo our old driveway, replace it with a new concrete driveway, as well as grade our yard. We were informed that, when our yard was going to be graded, that this company was going to be hauling in healthy viable soil. Unbeknownst to us, we were given **trash dirt** with copious amounts of old asphalt chunks, rocks, glass, nails, gravel, and oyster shells... strewn all throughout our yard. We asked the correct questions, we were not given the actual answers.

Greetings Home Advisor, 20 July 2020 We requested assistance from Home Advisors in early March 2020 to give us a contact of an exterior painter professional for our home and you recommended POST Home & Garden, LLC, as a painting contractor. I used the telephone number provided by Home Advisor and gave POST a call. Brian from POST called us back within several hours and arranged a time to view the Job Site. We discussed the painting job, the start and estimated completion date, and the price. The start, completion and the price were agreeable to us and we accepted the contract from POST Home & Garden, LLC within a few days. Brian said he would arrive on site July 13th, 2020 around 0830AM to power wash our house then returned July 15th around 0830AM to prep the wood the paint. The POST team returned the following day and completed the painting. The painting went well, to our satisfaction and we were very pleased. Post Home & Garden, LLC is to be considered a very reputable company. They arrived on site as indicated, kept us appraised on their progress and did a great clean-up. We expect to contact POST Home & Garden, LLC for our future painting needs and will gladly highly recommend POST to anyone needing the services of a painting professional. I contracted with Alex Post of Post Home and Garden in August 2018. At the time they were located in Fairfax VA and have since relocated to Newport News. The agreement was for $31,285. The work was required after a garage fire had damaged the detached garage and the house. The work ordered included: Three New Trusses in the garage damaged by fire, New Siding, New Roof, Hang Missing Drywall and Repair Electrical Damaged in the Fire. I knew things were not going well from the first day when the contractors ripped off the existing shutters and destroyed them beyond reuse. When work was completed I inspected the work and found serious workmanship errors. Alex and I eventually walked the property together. The contract outlined that 3 roof trusses would be replaced. None of them were replaced. No compensation was offered for not replacing the trusses. The installers ripped engineered trusses apart and then tried to nail new cords in place. The roof now has a permanent dip in the roof and ridge area. I gave this a pass only because to replace the trusses it would require ripping the new roof off and partial siding replacement and it was clear they did not have the skills to complete the work. The roof shingles were installed with improper courses which may lead to leaks later. Exposed nail heads were all over the final two courses of shingles which in short order would have leaked. Shingles installed out of plumb, shingles damaged in shipping were installed without regard to the damage. The exposed nails were eventually corrected but the improper courses remain. The correction would have required an all-new roof. The siding was a total disaster. Within days, the siding was falling off the house. Tiny trim nails were used as fasteners on the butt edges. Caulk was used to holding the siding in J channels instead of using snap-lock lugs and utility trim. This caused the siding to just fall off since it was only being held by caulk and trim nails. Huge gaps were created from siding being cut too short. The siding was over fastened and has caused oil canning. (Wavy siding). Electrical work left exposed wires in the attic. Hidden electrical boxes used as junction boxes. It has only been one year and the siding is constantly falling off the house. Post Home and Garden sub-contractors came out once again to improperly use more of the tiny trim nails to the siding butt joints. More and more siding is still falling off the house. Post Home and Garden is not a competent roofer or siding installer or builder. All work is allegedly completed by sub-contractors. They provided a 5-year warranty but are unable to complete the work. I have decided to hire another contractor to fix all discrepancies since Post Home and Garden lacks the skills to correct.

Brian was amazing. Super professional, great communication and he and his guys did an AMAZING job. They had to match our paint color to an addition and you honestly cannot tell the difference. He also got us a better quality paint because of a sale that was going on. That really amazed me. Most people would pocket the extra money, but he went above and beyond. Because he was so amazing we hired post home and gardens to do our driveway and shed. Thank you Brian! Friends are already asking for your number.

To say that I am pleased would be an understatement. The house looks brand new. Brian, Wes and the other gentleman (I wish I remembered his name) were professional, careful with the deck and porch. They covered everything with tarps before hand. I can recommend them to anyone.

Brian and his helper Wes did a great job painting the trim and staining our deck. They were reliable, did quality work and went out of their way to help move deck furniture iff and back on the deck after the job was completed. Their price was great and they did the job in the timeframe that was quoted. Very pleased with the work and would reccomend them to anyone looking to have similar type work done.

Alex was professional from start to finish on our project. Also did tuckpointing, new columns on front porch and new rain gutters -- all of the work was performed to our satisfaction. I will definitely use Post Home & Garden again and recommend them to my friends.

We had a new roof, siding, trim and gutters replaced. My house looks beautiful, clean and modern. Alex was fantastic, he took the time to explain everything and answered any of our questions. He quoted us a price and he was on target, no surprises. He actually started earlier than initially planned. Roof was done in one day. Eddie did all the siding by himself, he was fantastic. Very attentive to details, very polite, the siding took four days as stated and the gutters were done on the fifth day just as stated. I will be using Alex and his team for my next home project, new front porch and patio.
