Pounds Painting

I hired Justin and his friend Allen to install a bath tub surround and update my bathroom so I could put the house on the market. Where do I begin?! I had to have Justin come back 3 times to try to make things right and finally gave up and had to hire a plumber to fix some of the things they messed up.. I texted Justin, that I expected him to at least reimburse me for half of the plumbers bill with no response. I will also be contacting the BBB. First, the surround came un-glued, complete walls so he had to come back to fix that. He used clear caulk to seal but the surround didn't reach the tub so it was noticeable-he came back and recaulked with white but I still had to buy more caulk to hit the spots he didn't re do. The hot/cold water faucet on the tub wasn't replaced as I had asked and the old one was put back on upside down so there was NO cold and didn't shut off correctly. The spout that was replaced didn't have a pull pin to engage the shower which I didn't notice until I tried to turn on the shower and had nothing hooked to it, The hot and cold water were reversed on the pedestal sink and handles were not installed on correct lines. They were to replace the baseboard, but stopped at the washer and dryer because they thought no one would notice. I did, and they complained it was dusty which I would have gladly swept up so they could install. They broke one side of the trim around the wainscotting and replaced it with 1 in quarter round trim so the two sides didn't match. I was told "no one would notice". I did make payment on the initial repairs after a quick look around, and with no paperwork or contract, but had spent the day in my car due to getting sick and just wanted to get home and to bed. I certainly hope Pounds Painting does a better job painting than handy work but I would certainly NOT recommend them for ANY job! I hired him off Home Advisor since I have had some bad repair jobs done in the past and hoped if I went through Home Advisor it would be a better experience-NOT. Additionally, he put the blame on his work mate but but did not accept any responsibility for the workmanship. My check was cashed almost immediately.....DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY~!!!

He did as much as he could and would recommend him.
