Tree Removal
We hired Prates at the last minute after being stood up multiple times by another company. When we submitted the request for a quote and requested a quick turnaround time, they called the same day and were out here to give an estimate the same day. Their price was reasonable and they got the job done the very next day. We requested tree removal and grinding of the stumps. Mike was able to remove the trees and will return for to remove the stomps. He said no money until the job is completely done. I appreciate that. I would recommend and use for any future tree service.

Prates was courteous, prompt and left the my yard clean and tidy with the perfect amount of stump chips to decompose and fill in the hole left by the stump grinding. I have used them more than once and recommend them to take care of your tree.

Prate's Tree Service responded quickly to my request for a quote for service. Mike came, discussed what I needed, made recommendations and gave me a the best price for the project. The Prate crew was friendly, efficient. They did a great job all the way down to the cleanup. They protected existing plant/planters, shed and fence. Would definitely hire them again.

We were very pleased working with Mike and Cait Prate. Cait did a thorough walk through of our property and talked through what we wanted done for our 7 major and 5 smaller trees. She was quick with a quote and gave us the best price. Past that, communication with her and Mike about scheduling was consistent. Our trees won't need trimming for a while thanks to them! But, if we needed additional work done, they are the company we would call.

They are a cash only service, no credit card.

"Thanks for the 5 star review [Consumer name withheld at their request], but we would like to inform you we are not a cash only business. Currently we are not taking credit card payments. However, we do accept checks, the method in which you had used. I just wanted to ensure you, as well as future clients, were not under the wrong impression. Thanks again for the review. We're always happy to hear from another satisfied customer!"

If I had the option of giving no stars, I would award zero to this company. I contracted with Prate's to remove a tree in my backyard and grind down the stump. After over a week of trying to get them to do the job and being stood up on a couple of occasions without notice, I finally gave up on them. Allowing for weather problems, they were still lax about contacting me to tell me they couldn't make it. In all, my impression of their service is that it's a pretty flakey operation. Also, I was informed by them that they charge $16 to take a check and do not take credit cards.Thank goodness no money changed hands. I'm going elsewhere for service.

Tree Removal
They did a great job, very good clean up and I had 3 big trees & 2 small trees removed, one surrounded by electric lines. They were the least expensive of the five quotes I got and I was very happy with their work. Crew and owner were very friendly.
