David Caves installed a new garage door and overhead motor in a new garage September 5, 2023. PROBLEMS - WRONG DOOR, BAD INSTALL, MOTOR QUIT WORKING November 2, 2023. David Caves is not responsive to requests to repair/correct deficiencies. Do not recommend David Caves. 1. David Caves installed the WRONG garage door - wrong style and color. The door ordered and paid for was one of the more expensive doors (wood grain, long bead panel - a square panel in wrong color was installed). He said he would replace with correct door - it's 2 months later and the garage metal trim can't be completed until the correct garage door vinyl trim is installed. 2. David Caves miscalculated the position of the overhead rails - extra holes in the new sheet rock after he repositioned the rails. I was promised that the correct door would be ordered and replaced. Nothing so far and David does not respond unless numerous texts are made. He doesn't answer my calls. 3. November 2, 2023, garage door overhead motor QUIT working. David Caves was notified and has not responded. 4. My fault for trusting David and paying him the balance (he wanted CASH for remaining balance of transaction and bank transfer directly to his personal account for deposit). 5. Odd - David Caves made a pen and ink change on his invoice changing the name to D'Nova from Deluxe Garage Doors. When I contacted an individual who he said was his partner they were confused and said they have a separate businesses. 6. David Caves is very personable as other reviewers commented. However, my experience with David Caves is the total opposite on the product delivered and installed and his failure to honor his workmanship warranty.

The door is nice but the workmanship is terrible, people stop to see it because it looks nice from afar but they were disappointed as I am so they would not hire the person I hired.
