I put my trust in Jordan at Prestige after my house fire. My roof needed to be replaced! I couldnâ t be on-site to monitor the process! Jordan kept me updated from beginning to end and completed the project in one day! My home has three levels so they provided me with drone images. He and his team went over and beyond! Itâ s been several years no leaks and still my roof is as beautiful as it was from day one!

I hired Prestige Contracting to replace my roof in April after working with them to repair several roof leaks the year before. At first, my experience was positive. They were on time, professional, and seemed to be honest. However, my experience after my roof replacement was a nightmare. I understand that most people who replace roofs replace gutters at the same time. My gutters were replaced about 8 years ago, so I did not need new ones. My gutters also have gutter guards to keep out debris. During my roof replacement, the workers badly damaged my gutter guards and clogged several of my gutters with shingle debris, nails, and I even found a crushed up water bottle. They sent someone out to fix several of the issues a week after the replacement. I told them that I would not be at the house due to a prescheduled root canal. They assured me that the person knew of the problems and would address them. He did not. Although he did put back some splash guards that went missing after the roof replacement, he did not repair any of the gutter guards. They then said that they would send out someone else to fix the problem. They scheduled people to come out six different times. I waited for someone to come each time and they never did. After about a month of nagging, they finally did send someone out. I explained that my most pressing issue was the gutters overflowing. The person claimed to clean the gutters and said that he did not find any issues. My gutters continued to overflow. The company told me that I needed additional downspouts because my roof is so slick now that the gutters, that handled the water just fine before, now cannot handle the speed with which that water comes off the house. I decided to hire a professional gutter cleaning service before moving forward to buying additional downspouts. The gutter cleaners came this morning and found shingle debris blocking the downspouts in the areas where it was overflowing. It only took them about 20 minutes to solve my main issue; whereas, Prestige Contracting has waisted so much of my time and energy over the past month. I have given up hope on them fixing my gutter guards. I spent $16,000 on a new roof only to experience headache after headache. Protecting gutters should be a standard practice for a roofing company. I hope to God I do not have any issues with my roof while it is under warranty because I have no faith in the company timely and appropriately correcting issues for which they have already been paid.

I am writing this review at the request of Home Advisor even though the Project Manager - Jordan told me not to unless I was going to rate his company a 5.0. Never been told that before. Project Manager- Jordan was nice at first. However, when he deviated the repairs from his original quote without telling me that was an issue we had to work through. Also, the person who made the repairs left about 35 old nails, about 6-8 pieces of shingle, a few finishing n my gutters and on the roof as well as a piece of felt paper in one of my bushes that I had to do climbing and clean up after the contractor was gone. I had previously explained to them I cannot have nails and debris left around for fear it gets in my pool and ruins my robot vacuum. The contractor did address this debris with employees but I had already cleaned it up. When I sent all pictures to them on 2/8/21, the email I received back from Project Manager Jordan was to accuse me of mental instability and yelling at one of the contractor employees. He told me he was turning me into one of my employers for mental evaluation and for the way I treated his employees. (Sorry my adult kids were outside when he said the yelling was supposed to have happened, and they said it did not happen). Jordan was not even there when this discussion (where the yelling supposedly happened about his deviation from the quote) occurred. The contractor did a good job on the repair, as I have had no leaks. I rated them lower because the deviation was not communicated to me, I had to find it myself (worked through it), the clean up (I had to take care of), and most importantly the threat to contact one of my employers over an issue in which they do not even have any authority. I find it sad that this contractor did these things. I will say that I think my being very direct and being into the details was not appreciated by this contractor. Also, the extra shingles and time it took for the contractor to get them (my change) could have also been worked out as well. Unfortunately, after the Project Manager escalated the issue by threatening to get my employer involved in a matter they have no authority over, I do not think there is much chance in working out any resolution. I have never had any contractor ever resort to such a tactic before. I do wish the employees of this contractor well. I would have like to have had them replace my two roofs next year had we been able to have resolved all issues amicably. However, I was told never to contact this contractor again, so I will abide by that (outside any warranty claim). On 2/9/21 at 1:50 pm the same Project Manager called my home phone and cursed me out, in part, due to the review I submitted above. I had to call the local police and also report the company due to this Project Manager's conduct today to Home Advisor. I did this out of concern for the safety and well being of my family and property in case this Project Manager does something else inappropriate. During the harassing phone call, this person also threatened to turn me in to the VA this time for a mental evaluation as well as telling the officer I was harassing him (for completing a review through Home Advisor that was requested?). My family and I should not be harassed or feel threatened for completing a review of our contractor experience.

Our company made multiple attempts to resolve this customers accusation that are not accurate and here is why: Jordan is not the owner of Prestige Contracting as he is a project manager with this company and you can see what kind of job he does and his integrity with customers throughout the rest of our reviews on here. Two being the little bit of trash left behind on the job site: Our company offered to come back and pick up the trash when the customer called and made us aware of the situation and the customer declined for anyone to come back out and that is was already picked up and that it was not a problem he just wanted to let our office know. Third issue: After the customer told us we did a great job and that he was happy with the project performed and that he would definitely allow us to do his roofs next year that he held over our heads like a carrot. Our company declined to do any future business with this individual. This customer not only disrespected our office manager who is a lady by raising his voice at her and scolded her in front of other employees on the job site. When she was only there to collect payment after threats were made that he was not going to pay for the job when it was completed. Actions like this from this customer speak for themselves and Jordan went up, over, and beyond for this customer. He gave this customer a military discount as a thank you for his services. When the customer decided he wanted a different color shingle than the ones that matched his roof. Jordan stopped what he was doing to get the materials to our employees so they could provide great customer service. When our employees installed the shingles per the homeowner's request. The customer then came outside and did not like the color when he saw it and wanted the original shingles Jordan brought out to be put in instead. This action resulted in more labor being performed and wasted money on additional materials that were unnecessary. When the office manager presented the customer with a change order to be paid he refused to pay it, went off on the office manager about how it was not something he would pay for as it was not something worth paying for because in his eyes it took a few minutes to do and there is an outstanding balance on this job that has still not been paid by the customer. The customer called and apologized for his actions and words two days after the job was complete and then called again a month later to scold our company and also sent nasty emails to Jordan at 1:30 AM in the morning after a conversation already resolving this once again. Our company was appalled by this customer's actions once again. At this point, Jordan spoke with this customer and told him that he was out of line and to not contact him or Prestige Contracting again since he had no warranty issues. The customer refused to abide by the request made by our company and at that time we had no other option but to report this to the authorities as this customer continues to harass our company and employees. Again we are sorry you may have felt the need to read this as we do not condone the threats and violence made against our company and employees. We understand that these are trying times with Covid running rampant but under no circumstance does any company deserve this kind of harassment or treatment. We are all in this together to work as a team with one another, not against each other. Thank you to all of our past customers and to our future customers! We look forward to many more years of happy, successful projects."

This company was easy to deal with. I recieved an estimate, they gave me a date the work would be done. Fernando who did the work arrived on time, he went above and beyond and found 1 leaky nail on a metal roof for me in addition to the work he was already doing he was professional and friendly, he did a great job. I'm not easy to please and usually expect to have to monitor the work being done. Not this time.

Overall very good experience. Professional and accommodating. They rescheduled roof leak repair earlier due to approaching rain system. Only marked down due to not having a tall enough ladder to enter the roof on their initial inspection. Gave a quote relying on experience and Jordan was spot on! Will use them again.
