Pro Build Co.

Our work got off to a rough start. We agreed to the project in October 2017. Permits were finally acquired in January 2018. Due to a cold winter, our project did not start until May 1st. It took a long time to get the footings dug and poured. When footings were being dug, the contractor hit something and failed to adequately investigate the issue and continued to pour the concrete footing. As it turns out, they broke our sewage line causing an eventual backup of sewage and an inability to use our water. It took them one week to get that problem resolved. It took another month to get a concrete pad poured and the rough framing done. It was another 6 weeks to get the rough electrical installed and inspected. We are now in August 2018. The rough framing inspection was completed the end of August. The drywall guys did not come out until mid-September. The ceiling in the room has to be redone three times before it is completed correctly. We are now in December 2018 with no exterior finish work (vinyl siding, veneer brick or gutters) completed. We are OVER ONE YEAR since this relatively simple 12×25 room addition was conceived. Interior painting is finished before Christmas, and we can finally use the space inside. The gutters and vinyl are up, but no sign of the brick work. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019! In February 2019, we get the final electrical inspection done. The brick veneer is never ordered as of May 1, 2019. Angelo of Pro Build Co. has not contacted me since April 2019. He has been paid for almost 100% of the job and therefore, has no incentive to complete the brick exterior or the other small projects to wrap things up.  I blame myself for being so accommodating with Pro Build Co. poor scheduling and long delays. Also, it is my fault for paying them on time without holding more money back. When this expensive project began in October 2017, I never thought that in July 2019 I would regret recalling the words Angelo used when I hired him.  Trust me.

Angela and Giuseppe made the building experience fun. Although we had to battle through cold, wet, windy, and damp conditions, the job was completed with spectacular results. Hats off to Joe and Carl for battling the wind and rain to finish before the snow came.

I met with 4 builders and Angelo was the only one to offer alternatives to my original idea and show me detailed drawings. They were far more attractive to utilizing my space. Took extra attention to detail and extremely happy with the results.
