Pro Contractors Tree Removal and Handyman

I am really upset with the quality of the work. They said they were going to finish the job and it was never done. The contractor should have explained more and not come back and asked for additional money for himself.

I contacted Pro Contractors to paint my shed. The shed hadn't been painted for 15+ years. When the project was completed, it was BEAUTIFUL and looked brand new! My experience with Pro Contractors was a great one from estimate to completion.

I had a fantastic experience with Pro Contractors. I had an unfortunate situation happen at my condo which resulted in needing them to replace the bathroom mirror, dry wall, and closet door. They completed the job in a timely manner, the work was great, and I was most impressed with their communication. Art was really wonderful to work with. He frequently communicated with me to let me know what was going and overall he was a really nice guy. I definitely plan on using them again for any future services. Customer service is very important to me and Pro Contractors are top notch.

Mr. Rissler came to my house with ANOTHER HANDYMAN. I was first charged $500.00 until I complained; then Mr. Rissler lower the bill to $400.00 Mr. Rissier did absolutely NOTHING; his handymand, Paul, did ALL the work and he did a fantastic job. However, I have two complaints: 1.) For the work that was done (see below) I was over-charged; first $500. then $400. 2.) Mr. Rissler received $250.00 cash from me as a deposit, but did absolutely NOTHING; other than bringing Paul, his handyman (I guess) to the house. When Paul had completed the work, I then gave him $150.00 in cash. Here is the work that was completed for $400.00 You tell me what you think for the first fee of $500.00 until I complained and then he brought it down to $400.00; I should have complained more. 1) Basement Window (placed a "wood stick" in window for security purposes) 2) Assembled a small "Exercise Bike" 3) Assembled a small "Row Machine" exercise equipment 4) Assembled a small "Tummy/Thigh" exercise equipment 5) Installed a lock to the sliding (for security purposes) 6) Removed, straighten & re-install vent on wall 7) Placed a "foam" around the sliding door to help prevent cold air from coming in.

i purchased a desk from newegg.com. After about 1 hour i decided that this was a project that i could not do by myself. I immediately received a phone call from ART and after a brief conversation we set up a date and a time for JAMES to come and assist me with my project. James was very personable and my work was completed ERROR FREE.

Did a good job hanging Christmas lights on large pine trees.

Really strange, paid a lot money in full ($375) to hang 4 sets of Christmas lights and to take them down in Jan., delay in getting job done, i.e.. helper was sick, then ladder was lost. He asked me for a hammer and nails, I had already supplied the hooks and lights. Then he said even though he couldn't hang the lights the one day, he would come and pick up the lights so they wouldn't be stolen. When they finally came to put up the lights, he asked my sister for electrical tape, she didn't have any, he told her it was only about $2 at the store. How can a Pro Contractor not have hammers, nails and electrical tape? He then wrapped lights around a pole that still had a corn stalk attached to it. When i went to look at the lights, they were crooked and then one string went out. I just fixed it myself. So not happy with service.

Art Rissler, who managed the project to install a new high-performance sliding glass door to replace a broken one, was very friendly, professional and focused on locating a new door for me and getting it installed as soon as possible, since my broken door was unusable and letting in the cold. Although it originally looked like we were going to have to order a door and wait 6 weeks for it to be delivered, Art used his sources and was able to find a really high quality sliding glass door that had been ordered by another contractor for a customer who ultimately didn't go through with the project, and that door had been sitting unused in stock for a couple of months. I contacted Art on Monday about my broken door; he came out that day to give me an estimate and the door was installed on Saturday. The installers of the door, VInnie and Bruce, were really great at what they do, very pleasant to be around, and worked extremely well together. They went above-board and even fixed something on my deck gratis while they were waiting for the supplies they needed to finish trimming out the job. I'm very satisfied with my new door - a job very well done.

Paul is a bright and friendly gentleman, he takes his time to get the work done but does it well. He has a great attention to details. He is reliable and followed through on his work. He puts a lot of energy in what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I found Art,the owner, to be very defensive when questioned about the work. They were sloppy and I'm left with a pile of debris and dirt on my backyard lawn and in my driveway. I am a senior citizen and I asked when these things would be taken care of. The job was finished on Wednesday and said he would come back today, friday, to remove the debris from my driveway. Of course,no call and no show. This same guy left his broken down truck in my driveway for 2 days.I don't know how Art selected his workers,as there was someone different everyday. They initially were going to repair the fence but we found that the retaining wall also needed to be replaced. it was made from wood also. Art is extremely disorganized and is a poor planner. I am glad to see them go. You may contact me for details.

They charged a price based on the work scope to open wall to fish through wires to install a new receptacle and to install a water shut off valve with clamps on both sides. They took a shortcut by squeezing the new receptacle into a light-fan switch box with much less actual work but compromised the neatness of my room because I have to plug my utility into that light-fan switch box that is close to the door. They also took shortcut by using a "push in" type of water shut off valve, causing water dripping for 3 days unsure of future leaking. They finally told me that they "saved" my money!

He did a very good job.

He had a very good young helper, Paul Martin, who was excellent.
