I want to start off by stating that I NEVER write negative reviews - I do not believe in them because they can be SO harmful to a company (and most often they are emotional responses that have little basis in actual facts). This is not the case, and I have to ensure that what happened to me does not happen to any other resident in the Bellevue/Seattle area. I could literally write a novel but I am limited with space here so here is the summary of his egregious activities: 1 - Flagrantly overcharged me for the work that was Invoiced - although I did not notice this in the beginning, as aspects of the project started changing I was able to retro-actively perform some forensic mathematics on the multiple invoice itemization he provided to me. The end result? I discovered that the initial Invoice he generated had charges in excess of $35,000. Better said, when I was able to scrub the multiple invoices and itemize the cost of work that was already performed, $35,000 was unaccounted for - specifically all the work was done, but I was being charged an extra $35k with ZERO additional work items on the Invoice. 2 - Dany bought the wrong materials on two accounts that I know of - specifically I asked for dog turf to install artificial grass. This is different from most artificial turf because it has holes so urine and feces can drain. I showed him a sample of what I wanted and he told me he would get it. It was only when I was cleaning off some leaves in my backyard did I notice that the turf did not have the drainage holes. It was the cheapest possible turf money could buy, and it was starting to stink of ammonia, dog urine, etc. I covered this specific turf with him at least 10+ times prior to installation. I have had to subsequently remove it and re-install dog turf by myself. 3 - Second, Dany purchased the wrong type of retaining wall blocks that we needed for the project. My 3x retaining walls in the backyard were to have a nice, curved, non-linear design to them. There are specific blocks that are made for this - but he bought the wrong ones. he also refused to return them, instead he forced his guys to cut them with a power saw - this added WEEKS to the project time. 4 - Dany would not supervise his workers during the week. Half of his team were not qualified to even plant flowers (I know because I watched). As such I had to take days off of work to help them. 5 - Danys guys would take 1.5-2.0hr lunch breaks when Dany was not watching them (80% of the time). I had to bring this to his attention and although I did, it did not change. His guys move extremely slow, are unreliable, show up late, and the project took four weeks longer to complete than estimated. 6 - Danys team installed a waterfall improperly that has leaked water for months leading to over $1000 in excess water bill charges. He refuses to fix it. I only recognized the leak when I turned the water off in prep for our first freezing weekend below 32degrees. 7 - My top patio/retaining wall has already moved and is coming apart. HUGE deal. 8 - Fence he installed has already started warping Dany has refused to fix any of this. He has actually demanded more $ after my already paying him over $70k. He increased the itemized costs by thousands of dollars on his Invoice (once I exposed him) to make the math work - but the scope of work remained unchanged. This is a criminal act. He does not honor his work. His best guy, Jonathan, quit his team because of his flagrant dishonesty. DO NOT USE HIM. I will be reporting him to BBB/L and I and possibly lawsuit. He has REFUSED to fix all of these issues (and so many more that I do not have the room here to describe) unless I pay him more money. Dany was amazing! He was on time, communicated well, and went above and beyond with the general cleanup/mulch projects - he even suggested a couple things that I hadn’t considered and my yard looks FANTASTIC. Will definitely call him again for additional work!

I really wanted to give this Danny the benefit of the doubt. We hired them for initial clean up and maintenance. The day they were supposed to show I never saw them so I contacted them to find out they needed to reschedule for the following day, no big deal. The following day I waited 5 hours after when they told me they would be here for them to actually show up. The gentleman who was here didn't knock but just started mowing the yard. We have 2 purebred dogs and our little old one does not like mowers so I moved them inside. However, because they showed up so late I had to leave to pick up my son from school and needed to place our German Shepherd back into the yard. I notified the gentleman mowing I needed to do this. Next thing I know I look and see our gates are wide open and my dog is gone! The gentleman didn't apologize or even offer to help find him just looked confused and kept mowing, as I loaded my other children into my car to frantically search for our loose pet. Thankfully I found him and continued to go get my son from school. I contacted the owner and told him what had happened and how I had to leave, he simply stated "sorry, I can pick up the payment in cash or check tomorrow." I came home to a fairly nice looking yard, there are some beds in the backyard that seems to be have missed but no big deal. The next morning I went to throw a single bag of trash away and found the landscaper had used our trash receptacle for lawn, even though the yard waste bin was empty next to it. I spent the better part of an hour transferring the yard waste just to have the ability to throw my trash away. Nothing about what transpired says professional to me and I contacted the owner stating this and told him to discuss his bill with my spouse, because I am furious at this point. He responded saying I was unappreciative of his work among a few other things...So there is a full summary of exactly why I would NOT recommend this company. Maybe it was all his assistant but whatever the reason there is not excuse for the unprofessional behavior I encountered. And a side note I have used other landscape companies but we moved where they do not work so I know what level of professionalism I am looking for.

It took a couple weeks to work out getting on a schedule but I am very happy now that is behind us. The yard is looking great.

Danny did a great job. He is reasonably priced, arrived on time and the work was well done. We will be using him again.
