Professional, Timely, Fairly priced

They were nice gave us a low price for the entire back yard of$3500. They didn't get a permit on time so we were fine by the boro. NJ Paving was not fined. We were fined. We had to have amount of paving cut in half and area surrounded with Belgin Blocks. NJ charged us an additional $1500 for half the area and the Blocks. Finally the boro decrease the fine two $75 dollars, that I believe NJ Paving should have paid. The Job is nice, it passed inspection but I think half the area and blocks was not worth and additional $1500 and the fine.

Great customer service

We hired them to remove and install a new basketball court in our backyard. James and his crew are a pleasure to deal with. It was easy to schedule and the work was done quickly and efficiently. We are so happy with our new court!! We highly recommend these guys and will certainly use them again for future projects.

Very pleasant experience with James from the estimate phase to the driveway installation with his team on a 25x25plot that was previously dirt, plus repaving my existing driveway. The price was fair, and James was very cooperative and responsive to any changes or requests I had. Highly recommended.

James replaced an asphalt walkway in the rear of the house and repaired cracked asphalt on the driveway by cutting out the cracked areas and putting in new asphalt. James also installed a new slate walkway in front of my home using slate I provided. The walkway looks terrific.James made sure that both jobs were done correctly. He is a gentleman, very personable and definitely know the business. I would recommend him and will use him again.

I hired James McCaan to perform a large yard renovation project, which he claimed to be perfectly capable of performing well, mostly because of his availability and very competitive price. I learnt the hard way that if it is too good to be true, it generally is. His initial price turned our to be a teaser; elements of the project he claimed he could do well turned out to be above his professional skills; the work he has done has been low quality. Most mind boggling was his insistence that a drainage systems for water, which apparently is a key element of building retaining walls on which all other professionals agree "do need to be done". I guess it was my luck that he made such an outrageous statement which convinced me I was in the wrong hands. I ended up having to hire a real professional to undo and redo portions of the project. I suppose he can still do simple projects like a repaving a horizontal driveway at an OK quality, but beware from hiring him for any complex project.

During the work, the contractor's ladder slipped and broke several windows on my porch. After promising to repair the screen and broken windows, he has not returned to repair what he broke and has not returned my last phone call. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

James and his team did a great job installing Belgian blocks and repaving our driveway. The job was well priced and he kept to his time commitment. I would definitely recommend to friends.
