I used him for a new porch that he diid a great job on. He discovered theat we had rotted wood on our deck and he patched it but I feel that they way oever charged me for that. I was going to use them again for landscaping as well but that part left a bad test in my mouth.

We are very pleased with our choice in Pro-West and the outstanding results of the whole project. Chuck and River came in at the end to give it the Pro touch. I can play football on this deck with its stability and safety. Chuck and his crew worked in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Chuck is truly the best when it comes to making anything happen. His crew to include River and Jordan represented the highest standards of carpentry and customer service. River has a great attitude and worked great with us as a customer. Jordan was easy to talk to and resorted any concern to Chuck. He didn't give out any false information. Billie and Paul made the best of it and showed teamwork abilities with great attitude. We had a fence of Arborbitea trees planted that will grow together like a fence. They removed our old horrible 400-foot wood fence and cleared brush. They will be back to prune some of our existing trees that are overgrown and we will use them for more landscaping. Their crew is great!

I hired Pro-West Landscaping to replace a concrete block wall that was leaning and ready to fall over. Thomas came out and I told him that I wanted it rebuilt properly and to maybe add an additional block to make it a bit taller and level out the yard. He looked it over and gave me an estimate that was actually higher than the other two estimates I had done. The first guy I hired wouldn't show up so I contacted Thomas and asked it he could do the work. He sent me a new estimate slightly higher than the first one, but told me that was on account of the covid restrictions. Okay so I agreed to a set price and had the contract signed. It took a matter of months before he could get to it, which he told us up front. Anyway as the job got started the weather turned bad and the job got delayed another week. Can't do anything about the weather so okay. There was verbiage in the contract about buying new blocks and material as required so I wasn't too concerned when new blocks and then crushed rock started arriving with the work crews. By the time the job was completed and the invoice was shown to me he had increased the whole cost of the job by $10,000. without ever asking me once if I wanted to continue with the direction they were going. It was written directly into the contract that any changes had to be in writing and approved by by both parties. That was not done. Instead of feeling good about having the wall fixed I have a lousy and very negative feeling about the ordeal.

"Mr. S is correct in that we failed to get written approval for the extra work. This extra work was done in order to make sure that his new wall (the old one had failed and was not installed by us) would not be compromised. The extra work billed was just over $8,000. I'm guessing he came up with the $10,000 because of the sales tax on the job (We all have to pay that, unfortunately!). The total invoice was reduced and Mr. S agreed to pay the remaining balance. We're sorry that he was left with a negative feeling about the process and our error in not communicating fully regarding the extra work and cost to make sure that THIS wall would not fail as his last one did. But no doubt this negative feeling does not apply to the excellent, structurally sound wall he received. We have revised our procedure to ensure that every customer who wishes to add work or when we feel that extra work is required to complete a project properly is documented and approved by the owner before moving forward."

Thomas is a very experienced and knowledgeable contractor. Was great with suggestions on how and what to do with my yard. With his help we installed a complete lawn (hydro seeded) with an irrigation system. He also built a retaining wall and installed concrete mow strips around most of the lawn and planters. A couple of months after installation a pipe burst but they showed up same day and repaired it free of charge. Thomas stands behind his work.

I think you should put some money up front as atop in the restraint business to get good service. It shows your really serious. Any extra will be put into your account or will be refunded. Take your time, ask questions. The experience is just as important as liveing with the finished product.

We had them replace an existing deck in Jan the work was done in a timely manner, but they tried to charge more because of their error in putting in the new deck., in March we asked if they could come back out to fix one part of it that our son damaged. We had requested an estimate, but never got one before they fixed the damaged board. We feel that we ae now over charged for 3 hours of labor for a 30 min job. We would not recommend this company.

Their was only one person working on the deck, but he was so meticulous in making sure everything was correct and done well. Of course it was done according to code, but little things that would make sure this deck lasted a long time were added. Highly recommend them for water features as well.

This is difficult. Thomas gave me an excellent price and the porch came out perfectly. Problems were: the concrete man dumped the leftover concrete in the middle of my driveway. I will never get this big hardened lump of concrete out. The railing for the porch is so ugly and out of proportion to the house that I wanted to scream. They sunk massive posts into the concrete that I will never get out. The railing is attached to the front of posts that could hold a large pot of flowers. I feel leery about having him come back to finish the job.

"We had a meeting on the minds before we started,completed the work, she looked all things over & was happy & we were paid. This nice lady never called the office and complained,we would of came out that day. This is the first time I heard of this! First of all our carpenter wrapped the existing porch support post with 1"X4" white board including (2 steps) hand- rail posts as agreed in writing. We were complimented by the owner and there were NO visible concrete mounds of concrete, if there were I would have noticed it in my walk-thru with her."

I looked at four different companies and chose Pro West for their experience and ideas to make the yard look good. I've tried three times to get my yard up to speed and in the end had to hire a professional. Pro West came to my house and had a plan and solution to finally fix my yard for good. Pro West looked at the project like it was their yard they were working on. I especially liked the workers cleanup at the end of the day. Always put everything away and made sure everything was clean.
