It is with a heavy heart that I write a negative response on someoneâ s business especially when I INITIALLY found owner, Gilbert, very responsive. Last year, I spoke with a few professional about sealing my wooden gazebo (swim spa enclosure, which was only 13 months old at the time). It was stained by builder/manufacturer. He recommended we stain again upon purchase (we did) due to FL heat and maintain every year. On the annual anniversary we sought companies to seal the wood. I talked about light sanding, potentially staining some areas first then adding sealant. This company, my husband spoke with, so I can understand some one confusion of on work. My husband was impressed with Gilbert, he offered a two-year warranty and they would make a wood platform over my spa area so they could walk across it and easily sand the interior roof and framing. First, they did not make any walkable framing. His crew laid their ladders across my spa covers to stand on, at one point they removed a cover and sanded the interior gazebo roof, having the saw/sanding dust fall into the swim spa water. They would move their ladder, by bouncing down the roof line while still on the ladder (wood roof). The crew didnâ t speak English so I would call Gilbert, as I would see these items occur. He was very responsive to calls at that time; however, after one call, I saw/heard him call crew regarding their ladder placement and watched them removed ladder from pool covers. He called me back and said, issues wonâ t happen again. I said something to the effect of well thatâ s nice, as they are literally sliding a ladder back across my spa covers as we speak. The confusion I mentioned above, was that they light sanded and was not going to stain over the weathered areas first. When I mentioned that I didnâ t want it sealed until the wood looked better, he said that was not discussed between my husband and him and another $300. Fine, it needs to be done, as I do not want to seal wood with the existing weathered look. (Iâ m not sure why this wouldnâ t be done or mentioned to begin with.) I didnâ t write a review last year, as I felt in the end the job looked nice so no need to mention these items. Now, there are several areas that the sealant has curled up and literally taken the stain with it and other areas that have badly faded. I contacted Gabriel and he came right out, on July 1st 2021. He said this was due to the stain not curing long enough before the sealant was put on. We discussed his two-year warranty and how he will make it right; however, we will wait until it stops raining every day so he can sand areas again, stain, let cure sufficiently then seal again. That was the last I have heard from him. When the rain finally slowed, I called and Left message (L/M) on 8/19. No response so I emailed him 8/21. Then due to some more rain and personal reasons, this was put on back burner, so no attempt on our part to contact him again until October. My husband L/M on 10/5, texted him on 10/7 and 0/8. Husband L/M and texted him on 10/11, I also L/M on 10/11. I L/M 10/13. Husband L/M on 10/14. I L/M 10/15. On 10/18 I emailed and texted Gilbert asking that he contact me before I proceed through Home Advisor since they advised that in order to assist me, I need to write a review providing my concerns. As of now, still no response from Gilbert or anyone from Prodigious Painting LLC. Not sure what a warranty means to anyone else, mine did not even last a year.

The whole crew did a wonderful job. The owner came out we walked the property together. He asked great questions and made suggestions. They were on time and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them.

Gilbert was amazing. Excellent communication, always available. Very thorough and detailed. We could not be happier with the job he and his crew did on the exterior of our house. We have also now hired him to do the interior as well.

Gilbert is great! Has great input on color selection and runs a tight team. They were completely done with our 1500 sq ft project in about 8 hrs!

Perfect. You cannot ask for better than that. Gilbert Chen and his crew did a beautiful job on my home. Gilbert used his experience to help me choose the right colors and everyone was patient as we attempted to find the perfect stain color for the trim. They did everything just as promised, and then did a little more. Prompt, professional, and pleasant. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend Prodigious Painting.

I am looking for expertise, integrity, and communication - in that order. Prodigious Painters gets 5 stars in all categories. The crew was skillful (walls, ceiling, and trim look so professional) plus tidy, quiet, and respectful. The work was completed with all the picky details agreed upon by Gabriel. It was a pleasure dealing with the positivity and customer-service attitude of Gabriel. Most of all, I enjoy walking through my townhouse and seeing how they executed my design ideas so beautifully, which I could never have achieved by DIY. Highly recommend.

They are very professional on the way they do there customer service. They work on what is convenient for you. I would hire them again.

It was a pleasure working with Gilbert the owner, he was patient, responsive, timely, helpful, great customer service. His painter Nelson, was professional and a great painter with a good personality. I would certainly recommend this company and this team. Great work.

this team was wonderful, quality of work was very good, I give them 5 stars for painting, which is I suppose their main work, but pressure washing and cleanup is what drag them down to 4.5. I would highly recommend them as a matter of fact I already hired them again for some minor job inside my house.

Very professional team. They painted entire 4 unit town home complex exterior. The owner was very honest and straightforward and lived up to every detail of the work order while providing a 2 year all inclusive guarantee. They used an excellent grade of paint- Sherwin Williams Resilience. They were very thorough with daily updates from the foreman on the job. I would absolutely recommend Gilbert and his entire team for any and all your painting needs.
