Professional Home Inspection Services

DO NOT HIRE the company PROFESSIONAL HOME INSPECTION, Lake Grove, Long Island, New York. professionalhi.com What follows is my recent personal experience with Steven Holtz, PE. (Professional Engineer). There was a large attic space that Steven Holtz opened the door to, glanced at, and just closed the door. Mind you, this was a huge space with access to all the roof sub-structure and an HVAC unit. I had to instruct him that he needed to inspect the space. He tripped an outdoor GFCI outlet and could not figure out where it was supplied from or where to reset it. I explored and found the circuit and reset it myself. He was barely a competent home inspector, let alone what I expected from a professional engineer. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this inspection. I expected a much more professional and detailed evaluation, particularly given the additional cost of hiring a PE. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him to anyone. Steve did an amazing job. Helped to find issues with the home which I didn’t know about. This is my first home-buying experience. Steve was very friendly and talked me through many new concepts which I needed to be aware of. Excellent job - can’t recommend enough!

Used the same professional twice all went well and scheduled.

A very thorough inspection, as far as I could tell. Inspector was fine with me tagging along, and explained things clearly as he found them. Price was towards the high end, but he’s a certified engineer as well as a home inspector, so you get what you pay for.

Steven was very professional one of the best that I’ve ever seen very efficient very dedicated to what he does knowledge way above others a real pleasure working with him

Professional, personable and thorough.

Steve is the real deal. He spent 2.5 hours inspecting our 4BR 5BR prospective home and thoroughly tested every nook and cranny of the house. He was also incredibly informative and a good teacher for me as a first-time homebuyer. I definitely recommend and will use Steve for any future need!

Steve was very thorough and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the condo unit. He also answered my repair and maintenance questions along the way. He finished the report right on site and made sure nothing is missing. He is punctual, arriving almost half hour before the appointment and checked the building outside.

Steven gave the inspection and us lots of time, walked us through the various aspects of the house, and found a couple key issues that I would not have noticed on my own.

Steve was amazing - he was very flexible and accommodated our schedule. He was thorough and diligent in his inspection and the report he compiled answered all of our questions! He is highly knowledgable, attentive, friendly, and I recommend him without reservation for any inspection needs.
