Trying to execute a major outdoor renovation project during a time of global supply chain disruptions poses many challenges. Happy to report that Mal and PHI navigated that rocky path very well. Mal kept us informed of the many changes coming from the supplier as far as colors and delivery. It was a long process...8 months between signing the contract and having the work completed. In the end we are very happy with the product and the quality of the work. A major windstorm hit the area the day after the work was completed and put the installation to the test. Everything held up perfectly...no loose bits flapping on the house or flying around the yard. In researching this project ahead of time, we had spoken with many friends who've had their siding replaced and none of them were especially happy with their contractor. We had the best experience with Mal and PHI. Highly recommended.

For my home, I received several bids from siding and windows contractors. I selected Professional Home Improvement because they were quite professional, competitively priced and most importantly the services performed were done in a timely and high-quality manner with great quality and materials as well. I also like that, Mal, the owner was quick to point out potential issues on the job that turned up in the demolition, window replacement and siding process. He was always able to offer practical cost-efficient solutions before the issues turned into major costly problems. Mal was the third person we met with regarding our project, and he blew the competition out of the water! We kept saying after meeting with previous companies that we wished someone would come in and really explain in detail what they would do and who would help us create a vision for our home. Mal did all of those things and more. He was very helpful, completely guiding us through the process, and patient with us as we were trying to decide on the right color. He was able to help us find homes that had colors we wanted to see in person before we made our final decision, which proved to be extremely important. Once the work started, the team was incredible. They checked in with us about decisions and went above and beyond with creating beautiful detail to our home. My husband and I got quotes from four contractors before picking Professional Home Improvements. From the time we contacted Mal, we were treated with professionalism and warmth. Mal took the time to look over our property and explained his process and his product. He presented his proposal personally and responded with all our concerns and questions. He was able to provide a timeline and walked us through the process. I researched both the company and the product they were using for our siding job. The siding was the highest rated for our needs, according to an independent evaluation. The other contractors used a product that was rated slightly less. He also used thicker insulation and an extensive process for framing doors and windows. Professional Home Improvements is highly recommended on a number of websites. When Malâ s crew arrived, they introduced themselves and promptly went to work. With the exception of two days when the weather was terrible (snow storm on Halloween and pouring on the other day) they arrived promptly at 8:00am and worked tirelessly through the day with only their lunch break. At the end of every day, they cleaned up the work site before leaving. Mal stopped over many times during our project. He responded quickly to all of our concerns. We always felt that our project was important and that we were valued as clients. We are absolutely thrilled with our new siding, the workmanship of Malâ s crew, and with the professionalism, care and attention provided by Professional Home Improvements.

I hired Professional Home Improvement to replace the siding on my house. They did an amazing job! I had talked to three contractors, and the difference with this contractor was immediately noticeable. From the very first meeting, the owner sat down and explained everything involved in the process. He showed me lots of pictures and did a really great job pointing out the high level of quality that I should expect. They did not disappoint! I have received so many compliments on the new siding. My family was amazed at how it completely transformed the look of the house. The price was competitive. They were not the highest nor the lowest bidder. The high level of quality, the excellent communication with the team, and the overall work ethic of their lead installer definitely made this the right contractor choice for me. The owner, Mal, is extremely personable and was a pleasure to work with. I emailed Mal early Thursday morning and a piece of my soffit fascia had fallen off the second story of my house. He called me back within a couple of hours, but we kept missing each other. He finally called at dinner time and talked to him. He agreed to come to the house the next day to see what needed to be done. He arrived at the time he said he would, gave a fair estimate for the immediate work, but also said he will have his men look at all the soffit and put in nails as needed. He said his men would be able to get to the house sometime the following week. However, he called back 20 minutes later and said the job his men was working fished early and they would be at my house within 30 minutes. They put the missing piece back and then checked out the remainder of the house so this problem wouldn't happen again. So basically in 36 hours I contacted Mal and he completed the work even during this busy spring time. I would definitely use Professional Home Improvement again and recommend his service to anyone.

They did an amazing job!

We are extremely pleased with the quality of the siding installation on our home. Mal is knowledgeable, experienced and easy to work with. He educated us on numerous options, gave us several reference homes to visit and a provided a competitive quote. The workmanship and attention to detail were second to none. The crew took care of the snags they ran into along the way and were very cooperative with my special requests. That being said, however, the execution was problematic. The job started much later than expected and took over 3 times as long to complete as forecast. There were weather delays and personnel issues and perhaps other issues unknown to us. In the end, all of our requirements were met, and we have a beautiful updated look to our home.

I hired Professional Home Improvement for a siding job and was so pleased with the work and response from the company that I hired them to rebuild the wooden deck in my backyard. After replacing the siding panels that were leaking, Mal had his crew caulk all of the other siding panels around the house to ensure that we didn't see the same type of problem elsewhere. For the deck rebuild, Mal sent me pictures of various railing styles for the new deck and did a beautiful job of rebuilding the deck to match. Mal is likable and reachable and was very easy to work with on both projects which were done for a reasonable price, in a reasonable timeframe and they came out great. Mal provided regular communication with pictures as each job progressed. I strongly recommend Professional Home Improvement.

It went great! We love that the project took only 3 days and that Mal Graifman was on site each day, making sure things went smoothly. From the moment we contacted Mal and asked our numerous questions, we had a absolutely great experience. Mal went way above and beyond doing research into a roof problem we encountered and came back to fix that. This was my type of company; one that responded quickly, and took the time to fully explain the project. We will definitely use Professional Home Improvement again and even got a quote for our next project to side our home.

They were excellent and very professional

After a bad storm in 2017 we had contractors all over our subdivision looking for work. As a rule if you knock on my door I won't use you. We had 6 door knockers and contacted 5 others. We actually started working with two different contractors first. One didn't have the proper insurance and one came in very expensive. They did get the insurance process started but were not what we wanted. I contacted 3 more contractors. One of them was Professional Home Improvement. Mel came over reviewed what the insurance company had approved and realized that they had missed several items that needed to be included but was left out. He also came up with an estimate right away. It was a good estimate and included several items that the other companies had not so we went with his company. He contacted the insurance company and got the additional items approved. He also had his insurance company send his proof of insurance directly to us instead of just giving us a copy. We had to wait a few weeks for them to start the roof which was fine since it had been almost a year since we started looking for a contractor. I also felt that good contractors are busy so there would be a wait. The old roof was torn off and the new on was installed with ice and water shield in one day. The crew did a great job and even went around the house with a big magnet to pick up any nails that were in the grass or on the deck. A few weeks later they started on the siding and window trim. after removing the siding they installed 3/8's of an inch of insulation and wrapped the house in Tyvek. When installing the siding there were a few issues that came up but since I was there while they were doing the install we were able to solve them right away and continue on. They even pointed out that on the gutters, which had been installed 17 years ago, The nails were starting to pull out of the brackets. So while they were installing the siding I was fixing the loose gutters. The finished product looks great. I've even had neighbors stop by just to tell us that how nice the house and the siding look. I am very happy with the job that was done.

Mal was great. He came over to the house -- went over pricing and options -- gave us a guaranteed price -- came back with a bid that we felt was quite reasonable. He even suggested ways to improve the look of the house -- we were going from a fake-stucco look to all siding, and he suggested ways to give it more character. Then his siders came and finished the job in just a couple of sessions. It looks great! We had just the front done, and were able to match the colors closely so that it blends well.

This is a top quality company!  I cannot express enough gratitude for the superb work that was done on my home.  This was a seamless transaction from beginning to end.  The attention to detail was flawless.  This company proposed so much more work than other companies and when it came down to deliverance...hit the ball out of the park!  All the extras and small details make such a profound and bold impact.  They transformed my house into one of the best looking homes in Hoffman Estates!   Mal (the president) takes a lot of pride in his company and it just radiates through to every last little detail.  There were no short cuts taken.  Everything was done meticulously and gone over with a fine toothed comb.  He sent over a top notch 2 man crew (Sam and Surgay) that were punctual, friendly, trust worthy, and worked diligently side by side.  To have a crew with that kind of work ethic says a lot about the company they work for.  They were amazing! This project was paid 100% at our expense.  Insurance was not involved.  Believe me when I say that I did my due diligence when hiring the right company for our family and financial needs. I had 8 contractors total come out to place bids. None of them offered what Professional Home Improvement did.  I believe Mal was the 4th person I had out and he left such a prominent impression on me the first time that I called him back.  He came in right at the very top end of our budget and what we were willing to pay.  He (respectively) may be a bit more expensive than others but is SO worth every single penny spent!  I also want to clarify that he wasnt the most expensive with the total project either.  When I started this venture,  I wanted the cheapest contractor I could get my paws on.  I want to say he came in right in the middle of 7 other contractors with .048 KP siding (as opposed to .044 Mastic like others offered).  I spent a little more....and got A LOT MORE! He came out every day to the jobsite to check in and make sure we were 100% satisfied with what was done.  He left no stone unturned and made sure that I wasn't even remotely disappointed.  Every single aspect of this job resulted in a super classy and high end finish.  My hose bib has its own mini mount for crying out loud! PHENOMENAL!!!  *16 ft .048 KP siding/no extra charge from the .046/ less seams. (Others: 12 ft .044 Mastic/more seams) *3/8'  foil faced insulation wrapped in tyvek  (4 out of 8 offered insulation/and .025 at that) *built out all 9 windows with 2x3 and wrapped in aluminum (4 replaced completely by him and 5 others we didnt need to replace) *installed 2 french patio doors, front door with sidelight, and a storm door that I bought from Lowes and HD(also built out and wrapped in aluminum) *wrapped garage frame in aluminum (others told me to paint it...myself!)  *mini mounts everywhere! *replaced all rotted, nonstructural wood and added wood where needed at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! ($55 per sheet per every other company) *bottom edge freize (prevents pests and mice) *repitched and rebracketed existing gutters (so we could get more time out of them) *installed new lights at no charge *everything has a finished edge!  The details!  Its all in the details! *Not a single company offered all that he proposed and never even came close! *110% perfection!!! There are too many extras to count.  The price of the original bid that we signed never budged.  His word is HIS WORD.  You dont find these kind of qualities with just ANY contractor (have you ever hired a plumber?)  Mal handled any questions or concerns I had with a sense of urgency and made me feel I was his #1 priority.  OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!  He truly deserves all my praises.
