Write a ReviewI have owned my pool home for 30 + years. I have hired pool service companies for years. Progressive Pools is by far the worst service in every area that I have ever expereinced. I gave them many passes over the 6 months. They over promise and under preformed in all areas. They offer one full service when hired and one full service explained on thier website. Then they tried to claim different levels and wanted $40 more a month for the service they promised upon hire. They tried selling me expensive equipment that I did not need. This is the only review I have ever written. This company is so horrible it was to compelling not to write a review and warn others to stay clear of Progressive Pool Service. I currently use a company that is by far the best I've ever used. I am not sure if I can say the name so I will just say A____serve Pools in Clearwater. Good luck I hope you locate them. The owners name is Brian BTW. However, any company you decide to hire will be far better than PPS and save yourself from dealing with inadequte techs and incompetent management/owners.
By any chance does this have anything to do with the bill not being paid for 5 months? After numerous attempts to get in touch with the customer and no response we discontinued service. The tenants must have gotten the homeowners attention. As for the expensive equipment, suggested the leaking filter to be repaired nothing more. There are two sides to every story. Good luck to Brian.
I hired them to clean my pool, but explained to them it was imperative that when their tech came into the gate at the entrance and exit to the property line that it be closed upon entering and leaving (the gate had a sign that stated **please, close gate, closed at all times**). I explained to the secretary, the technician, and the owner, Libby, that I recently had a horse killed by a motor vehicle severing its legs and killing both the horse and the person driving. I explained the story so they would know how imperative that the tech close the gate to my dwelling. Well,l unfortunately, even after much discussion the tech came, pet the horses, and cleaned the pool but left the gate wide open when he left. As you can expect, both my horses ran out. When I realized my 3 dogs and 2 horses were gone, I stopped working and searched for the horses for hours. Finally, late in the evening I found them and was able to get them home. The problem I had with them other than poor pool cleaning was the emotional stress and damages caused by lost work for the day. I waited till the next day to call the owner. When I called the owner, Libby, she, in turn, spoke to the technician who admitted he left the gate open. Although I was grateful that my horses did not cause an accident on Gunn Highway, no one was injured and my horses did not get killed by traffic. I asked Libby to reimburse me for lost wages. However, was extremely superior and unsympathetic and said that she thought her technician was getting a raw deal. Libby refuses to take responsibility to compensate me for admitted damages by way of lost damages. In her mind, I was to just absorb the loss. I had a choice, I could have continued working and allow an accident to occur or I could take responsibility and chase my horses to prevent vehicular homicide. I chose to do the responsible thing, lost income and was not only not compensated by them but continuously insulted by Libby, the owner. Prior to this incident, I had called the owner to ask for a new tech because he was in and out and the pool looked bad. However, Libby ignored those calls.
They asked for a photo of the items needed to be repaired so they could have every thing they needed . that worked great . the repair specialist did a great job. Everything is working great . Thanks for the great service.c
Very professional tech.
They made my pool clearer than IĆ¢ ve seen it in months. My only criticism would be to make the customer aware of the process that is ongoing.
They came right on time with the uniform, I like the way they educate me on everything that I needed to know, give me all the details that I needed the owner Bob and Sarge came and explain things I needed to get done and help me all throughout.
I hired progressive to begin maintenance of my brand new pool with the iAquaLink control system. I was promised excellent service covering the basics; brushing, vacuuming and chemical balancing. The service period lasted about 7 weeks before I began noticing the system was not producing chlorine properly and the pool and hot tub always had debris on the bottom. I checked the chemicals and discovered the iAquaLink had not been set properly and the pool required a $70 chemical treatment to balance it. If it were just the chemicals I would understand, however, removing my main filter showed it had NEVER been cleaned which became the catalyst for ending my service agreement with them. It is clear that the technician did not know or just chose not to understand the equipment and was satisfied leaving the pool dirty. He spent just enough time at the property to report back that he had serviced the pool. I ended up hiring another pool company that vacuums my pool with their own equipment and understands the iAquaLink system so the pool remains properly balanced. In the last several weeks with the new company, I have not had an ounce of dirt on the bottom and have not had any type of chemical problem. Based on my personal experience I would not recommend Progressive Pool Services.
We just had our first service. Like a breath of fresh air compared to my last company. The pool looks amazing.
