Protek did decent work in our home, but the bill was so confusing and it looks like they are trying to overcharge us by over $1000, and Ron won?t just explain. Ron sent me an email stating that he would credit us for the flooring we purchased, but the amount he finally credited us is less than promised. The work done is not perfect?the toilet tank is leaking, and the floor shrank so that there are visible gaps around the baseboard, one door is sticking because the frame was cut too thick. Normally these items would be covered by the warranty, but Ron refuses to cover them until I pay the difference between the promised credit and the actual credit given.

Protek Restoration is an outstanding company!!! In April 2021, we selected Protek to convert our patio into an art studio. Anthony Metts was our project manager and did a fantastic job coordinating work and communicating work plans to us. Framing was completed in a couple days by Thompson Construction. Their workmanship was precise and transformed all available space into living space. Drywall, archways, and painting closed in an existing living room window and doorway along with building the new room so that the rooms look like they were built as part of the original house. Anthony was on-site almost daily to check progress, schedule the next work steps, and resolve any questions. The new pickle wood cabinets by Powell & Son Cabinets match the rest of our cabinets perfectly. All work was cleaned up at the end of each day with supplies and tools safely stored. We highly recommend Protek, Anthony, and their crews for any job that you want done right the first time. Thanks Protek!!!

"Bob called us early on Wednesday October 30th 2019. He said that he had sewage pipe break under his home and that the plumber would not make repairs the sewage pipe until it was cleaned up. We responded quickly and I send my crew out with in 1.5 hour. We gave him a fair estimate and he agreed and we started the work. When we finished that day we did so in less time that we estimated and gave him a credit back for that time. What he complained to us about after we finished was that we used only 1 bag of absorbents. We actually used 2 bags of absorbents and left a third bag there so if he wanted to add more later he would have more . The final bill was less than estimated and we only billed him for exactly what work was completed. We are a 24 hrs, 7 days a week water damage restoration company. After reviewing this project it was performed correctly. We regret that Bob was not 100% satisfied. We learned that we need to communicate better on the materials we use.- Ronald "Ron" Andersen"

I have never written a negative review before, BUT, Do not hire this company unless you have always wanted to star in a live TV Show episode of home repair. NO JOKE! We had a water leak which needed very minor mold remediation and some drywall and cabinet repair. I hired them because reviews were positive and they were the only company that did mold remediation, repair, and have an on-site cabinet shop. BIG MISTAKE! They took a 2-week job and turned my house into a construction zone for 2 plus months until my patience finally ran out. They were at my house almost daily fixing the previous days shoddy work. It took 2 different guys over a month and a half just to get the drywall semi acceptable. My neighbors kept asking if we were completely remodeling our house and noticed the workers spent more time outside smoking than working every day. I had to finally fire them after they messed my cabinets up so bad (twice) that they were literally in worse shape than before they attempted the repair. Ron, the owner, is very adept at promising to fix things but only seemed to be interested in collecting my money and making excuses about how hard it is to find employees that know what their doing. I feel they bilked my insurance for double the money of the original estimate fixing their own incompetent mistakes. Estimates by the way that I did not even receive until they wanted payment, so in the words of the owner Ron, he can make his payroll. This experience was an absolute Nightmare, hire at your own risk. Save yourself the headache, stress etc. and watch an online video and do the work yourself, it will definitely be of superior quality. I will say that the mold remediation was the only part of the job that was done satisfactorily. The rest was unbelievably incompetent.

The cabinetry did not meet his approval or mine so we gave him a full credit for this charge. We also had a couple of challenges matching the existing paint colors but we re-painted until it matched. The employees that did not perform to his standard or mine were dismissed. We really want to satisfy our customers and I believe we do meet that standard today. PROTEK RESTORATION We had a kitchen fire a few months ago and hired this company to do the repairs. The cleaners were excellent and the company has a fog type machine for smoke smell removal. The repair work was done well and on time. No easy job trying to put new items in an older home without doing a complete gut job. The journeymen were there on time and did their jobs going out of the way to make things as easy on us as possible. They even went so far as to reset the old appliances and sink so I could use my kitchen over the week end while the new counter was being cut. My kitchen doesnât look the same as it didâ¦.It looks BETTER. THANK YOU PROTEK.

Great work, done in a reasonable amount of time. My bathrooms look brand new and the air is breathable. The manager checked in from time to time during the work and did a final inspection after. Felt like there could haven been little better communication between the teams but the workers showed up early, were polite and professional.

First off, I was very impressed by the workmanship the construction worker did on our rebuild after getting rid of the mold. He was very detail oriented and did great. What I didn't like was the fact that I was told multiple times that the project would be finished on a certain day but it wasn't.
