There are no longer any cleaners of Oriental carpets in this area. We have several such area rugs, including a large, relatively expensive, wool rug from China. The main color is a brilliant green, with many other colors in it. Within an hour of submitting my reqest for pickup and offsite cleaning for 3 Oriental rugs, the Prouty's representative had emailed and called me (on a weekend, no less). He was polite and efficient and understood my needs. He was on time in both pickup and delivery of my rugs, though the plant is located some 50 miles from my home. Further he took the time when delivering, to make some suggestions for the care of the carpets and the wood floor. Best of all... the rugs were cleaned beautifully. The colors were brilliant where they were supposed to be brilliant and dull where dull was appropriate. A two-year old jelly stain was gone, as was a blood spot on the white fringe. Pet stains on a second rug also disappeared. The cost for this service amazed me... I had expected my wallet was going to go to the cleaners with the rugs. The service was very reasonable, particularly when you consider that all in all, it was about 200 miles of driving to pickup and deliver. I recommend Prouty's to everyone
