Pruitt Lawn Service

Be wary of this company – I do not recommend them. While Pruitt Lawn Service (PLS) claims to provide quality lawn care and outstanding customer service, I have not found this to be the case, at least in my personal experience over the past 12 months. When compared to the established professional lawn service we were using immediately prior to PLS, I found their services are substandard, and their business practices and ethics are questionable. Further, it is important to note that the PLS contract is designed to protect the company, not the consumer, and includes hefty early termination penalties. I initially entered into a non-contractual arrangement with PLS in October 2013 under which PLS provided weekly mowing services for a set monthly fee, paid in advance. I was, on the whole, very satisfied with both the quality and the timeliness of their work. So much so that I subsequently entered into a contractual arrangement with PLS in January 2014 under which they were to provide periodic on-going lawn mowing and lawn & yard maintenance services for a set annual fee, paid in advance. Contrary to my earlier experience with PLS I was, on the whole, highly dissatisfied with both the quality and the timeliness of their work. Services were done late, or not at all. PLS caused several instances of minor property damage that was acknowledged by PLS (in writing) but never repaired. My yard was in such bad condition by the time that I prematurely terminated my contract with PLS in August 2014 that the service I replaced them with had to re-apply weed and fertilization treatments (at a significant cost to me). Further, because the lawn had not been mowed in 23 days at the time of termination (despite having had fairly good weather for that time period) it had grown to a height of 5 inches by the time it was mowed, filling up 20 yard waste bags. Fortunately, due to the high quality service and care from my new lawn service, my yard is beginning to recover and it appears that the damage caused by PLS is only temporary.

I t is really to early to make a fair accessment. Really impressed with the customer service, both friendliness and knowledge of service provided. Fair price.

1. It would help if I receive an email at the start of each week to let me know which day of the week and at what time you will be mowing the lawn for that week. At present, I don't receive any info about when you will come over. I have to send multiple emails and text messages. 2.I would like to give a feedback each week via an email. 3.I would like, each month, a running count of each service provided. For eg, mowing, fertilizing and so on. 4. A heads up of what services will be provided each month. Thank you A.Kumar

They were very respectful and had great customer service

Have only been with Pruitt for a short time, but first experience was very good. Looking forward to a continued relationship with our Lawn Service Company.

Just had them cut my lawn today, Great team they gave me an estimate and my whole yard was done in 20-25 min (8000 ft). They charged $50 and very affordable one cut (they did edging with that). Overall they did a good job.

Very good price and prompt service. Weather delayed service one week but they made up the time the next. I am extending there contract for another month and they are my first choice if I continue using a service in the Spring.

Pruitt cut my lawn twice, and didn't do a good job either time. They don't use an edger, and when they use the weedeater they cut too deep, or they don't use it at all. The lawn was unevenly cut and many areas still had seed pods. I didn't complain after the first time, but after the second time I told them I didn't want them to come back. They sent me an email saying they didn't believe me, and I couldn't quit without giving them 90 days, which meant they wanted me to pay. I didn't. I had paided a month in advance as they requested, and felt they had been paid enough for two poor cuttings.

I've only had them a short while but the yard looks great.

It is refreshing to know that there are still people one can hire to do a job and it be done has agreed. I found Pruitt Lawn Care to be true to their word and in addition very fair and reasonable with their quote. The project was completed with my total satisfaction and Bill and Lacy were not only professional but friendly.

We were pleased with our experience with Pruitt Lawn Service. It was just a one time job, we hired them for, and we were pleased with their promptness and professionalism.
