Absolutely not qualified to do work for anyone, unprofessional. Did not fix the issue. He over charged and did not do the job. He was all about making excuses. Beware Donâ t Use This Guy!! ***Where do I start about how terrible Jay is? He claims to be a handyman, but nothing could be further from the truth. When I was out of town on an extended business trip my wife hired him to do a few simple projects around the house that were suppose to be easy and should not have taken very long, if I was there, I could have finished them in a couple hours tops. The projects were replacing a hinge on our carport attic pulldown ladder, reinstall an existing banister on our staircase, and cut a small 4â long 6â around limb off a tree in our backyard. Sounds pretty simple and quick to do right, well let me tell you he took serious advantage of my wife and charged her $300 for these 3 simple projects. He ended up damaging our stair railing, and he did NOT install the hinge correctly on our attic pulldown ladder. My wife pulled the attic ladder down after he had left and it would not go back up. It sat there down for over two days before he finally came back over to look at it, by the way all he made was excuse after excuse as to why he couldnâ t come over right away and fix his screw up. When he finally did come over all he did was take a long rod and push the hinge where it locks out and push the stairs up. This was not a fix it was a lazy manâ s way to make the problem go away because he didnâ t want to fix it correctly. Also, when he did come over instead of knocking on our door to tell us he was there to fix the pulldown ladder he just put them up and left, we have this on video from our Ring doorbell. He is a lazy flyby night no good handyman. Trust me you DO NOT want to hire this guy. Iâ m guessing the good reviews you see for him are probably friends that wrote reviews for him. STAY AWAY from him I cannot stress this enough!!
