"Hi Diana. We are sorry you have perceived the post--mold-remediation inspection to be overpriced. Our pricing hasn't changed for many years of business and we are licensed mold assessors with 22 years of experience. We do not ever provide "false" readings on testing and we followed the standards set for post-remediation testing and criteria. The laboratories we use are fully certified to all Industrial Hygiene standards. We did not perform the actual mold remediation services and this was an independent inspection. We often have air samples "fail" a post-remediation but yours did "pass" along with the other criteria based on the inspection. You had opted out of surface sampling so we couldn't perform a part of the testing we usually do. Your phone call earlier today stated you have a concern that there may still be some hidden molds in the area or nearby areas of remediation. This would not be possible to find without an investigation involving tearing out materials which would be the role of the remediation contractor under protective containment. We made some suggestions about how this may be located and what some influencing factors may be. We hope you can resolve your concerns with your remediation contractor if you feel there is still mold somewhere."
"We are sorry you did not feel the services we provided for you were of value for what you paid. We had discussed with you in detail over the phone what we would be doing based on the information you provided and gave you a cost estimate which came out to exactly what the actual charge was, including a senior discount. We did a thorough investigation of the reported water damage that affected two levels of your home, did moisture mapping, photos, lab sampling for air and surfaces etc. We followed up with a 30 page report with all the findings, interpretation of lab results, and detailed steps for you to take for remediation and cleaning of the toxic type mold found both in the air and on surfaces. We also advised on probable causes for that water damage and recommendations to correct deficiencies. You were given an invitation for a free followup phone consultation to make sure you had a clear understanding of our report and we could answer any questions. As licensed and insured professionals we are dedicated to giving top quality services, over and above the average mold inspector, without charging more than the average for this area. Unfortunately we could not stay in business if we aren't paid fairly for our services and lab fees. Thanks for your feedback. We will make sure in the future we are even more clear up front in our estimates and descriptions of proposed services."
