I called concerned about my rental and possible mold since visible mold was seen on the PVC pipe for the air ducts. Aaron scheduled the air testing appointment at an acceptable time frame and provided me to cost amount. When the technician arrived he stated before he could start the work I had to pay but was trying to charge me 40% more than what Aaron told me. He ended up calling his manager and said the sales person is not current on the charges. Time is money and this is wasting my time and time I could be working and getting paid. In the end they finally went with the price quote amount from Aaron. I then scheduled a treatment for the one story small town house that cost $1,305. This treatment doesn't include an air quality testing to provide proof of their work. Ten minutes prior to my scheduled treatment time, the technician called me stating he forgot something and was going to be 30 minutes late. I called him back 50 minutes after the appointment and he said he was almost here. He was over an hour late and said they could not do a discount even though they now cost me more money for missing scheduled work I was suppose to be at an hour after the his scheduled appointment time. I called today to ask about a confirmation air quality testing to verify their work/product did what they advertise to say. Aaron said sure and was ready to schedule me, I asked for the cost and he now said for the same test it was going to be now 90% more not even 40% more. But now 90% more than what I paid for the first test. Months have not past only days in between these phones calls, test and treatment. I'm not sure how anyone can stand behind the proof of their products/services when their staff/word/services immensely change.

Rachel, We apologize for our technician showing up later than the scheduled appointment time. Please understand this was an exception as our technicians are instructed to arrive early. However, traffic accidents and patterns are unpredictable in the DC metro area. We are pleased the technician kept you informed of those delays. However, we will work to improve our punctuality as technicians are dispatched. We understand you wanted a free Air Quality test. Our website outlines our multiple service offerings. We are one of the few mold remediation companies that are backed by extensive testing with the Army Corp of Engineers. The Army Corp endorsed and proved this technology as extremely effective (see our website for the official report). We are also one of the few that is approved by the EPA and FDA as a green bio-based solution. As a separate paid service, we do offer Air Quality testing if our customers want additional reassurances regarding the effectiveness of our solution. PuriCloud collects the sample but sends those to an independent 3rd party lab, who then charges us for their evaluation and report of the sample, Consequently, we are unable to provide this service at no cost to the customer. Our experience with PuriCloud started out good. We were concerned with the fact that PuriCloud could not provide a statement once the remediation was done that all of the mold was taken care of. The individual we worked to get a quote provided us discount pricing so we could get the air quality test for free at the end of the remediation to make us feel comfortable that all the mold was gone. The guy that came to do the remediation was very professional and explained the process to us; this was on Oct. 5th. We were told that visible mold would be wiped clean, however ours was not. We were told that the air quality test results would take 3-5 days. When we did not receive the results within one week (Oct. 11) I started to call PuriCloud which is a process. There is no receptionist and so the calls go directly to a cell phone and multiple times the mailbox was full so I could not leave a message. I contacted Home Advisor for other numbers that I could call. I got a hold of one person who is no longer with the company and referred me to their main number which no one answers. After 3-4 days of this I sent an email which has yet to be answered (this was on 10/14). I FINALLY got a hold of Aaron who was more than willing to help us. After still not getting the test results I asked for a manager to speak with. I left him a voicemail and he never called back. We finally got the results, but they were for another family. When we finally got our results sent to us, we were unable to read them so we asked for something that showed what the results stated. After a couple of days of that we finally got the results. This is now the end of October. This was a horrible process to go through and it seemed as though PuriCloud did not care about helping us. It's unfortunate since they are in the business of protecting families. The process felt like they wanted our money and that was it. The remediation was VERY expensive so I would have thought that the customer service would have been a lot better. I would never recommend this company. The process we had to go through was too long and very frustrating. If you do use PuriCloud hopefully your process will be much better than ours. I recommend trying to find a different company that will be more communicative with you than PuriCloud was for us and care about your family.

We appreciate the feedback and are confident we ultimately provided exceptional results: Discount Pricing: As you stated, PuriCloud provided? discount pricing?. Our patented dry-fog treatment costs about 50-60% of our competitors, with additional savings by reducing remodel costs. We encourage all customers to obtain multiple quotes in order to be well educated about the pricing of mold remediation. Wiping Mold Clean: PuriCloud is not a cleaning service and DOES NOT guarantee the aesthetics after treatment. Technicians may wipe areas of visible mold after treatment, but that is not part of our paid services. PuriCloud GUARANTEES that mold will be rendered inert (killed) and cannot be reactivated. Your Air Quality test demonstrated quality results and your home is now free of mold, bacteria, viruses, allergens, and fungus. Air Quality (AQ) Testing: We discourage customers from obtaining both treatment and AQ testing from the same company. For this reason, we send AQ samples to our 3rd party lab. PuriCloud can provide a general time frame for results but has no control over how quickly testing is completed by the 3rd party lab, which is based on their work volume. In this case, results took over 10 business days due to the Fall peak season, which is the industry standard (3-5 business day [off-season], and 5-10 business days [peak season]. Contacting PuriCloud: We apologize for your inability to reach someone by phone. PuriCloud has multiple ways to reach an associate. Our office hours are 9-5 pm EST, with options to reach our receptionist, sales member, or dial by extension. If our phone line is reached after office hours, calls are forwarded to team members. However, after-hours service is typically handled on an emergency basis. We appreciate the opportunity to free your home of all harmful bacteria, viruses, fungus, allergens, and mold. PuriCloud has new technology that is effective. Their approach is better. We trusted our home to them and we were not sorry. We had mold on wood that was in the rafters of our basement andit got all the way in there. If I have this problem again, which I hope we will not, I would call them again. I would love it if they cleaned to HVAC unit and the ducts, too but you can't have it all.
