The glass has not broken again, this is a good thing. My fingers are crossed. However, I was told it would be 1? thick. I had another quote and was told 5/8? in depth or thickness, that quote was in writing from another company. I chose this one because of the price, and he said the glass would be thicker 1?. When the job was finished, I asked why he did not put it on the invoice, he gave no answer for that but said it is 1/16. His prepared invoice just said, ?replace glass.? . Nothing more. 1/16 Is not the same as 1 inch, it is way smaller! I feel deceived, uncertain about what is actually in my window. I have no confidence in the contractors, even if they are from or. What is even more shocking is that they asked for 1/2 the payment when they gave the estimate. I refused. Since they do not warranty the glass, it is not an issue I needed to argue at that time. However, it is of concern because I have no idea about the actual thickness of the glass they installed in my window. Maybe the glass is not thick enough. Only time will tell. I am not sure about the quality of work provided because I am uncertain about the glass thickness. I cannot give them a higher customer rating because of this uncertainty and the lack of information provided in writing had they given a more detailed invoice.
