Working with QBP to resolve const dispute. Update to follow resolution.

The original project agreement was initiated in late November/early December of 2023. Weiss Builders (WB) contracted with Quality Built Pergolas (QBP) to reserve materials at 2023 commodity costs for an early spring completion of two structures installed on two different stories of a high-rise being constructed. QBP purchased materials for two structures per the agreement. QBP agreed to installation terms with a local sub-contractor for pre-fabricating and erecting two structures in early April of 2024. QBP was notified in late December 2023 that the project may need to be completed earlier than expected, in early March or even late February of 2024. This was conveyed to QBP?s in-house production and the installers to prepare for this earlier completion date. A week or so after this discussion, WB informed QBP that they were totally omitting the structures all together from the plans. QBP and WP discussed a re-stocking fee for this drastic unexpected change. Another week or so later WB informed QBP that they changed their mind once again and only wanted to omit one of the structures. QBP would need to re-calculate the order/invoice to reflect this third unexpected request. QBP approached the installer assigned to discuss what was now a less attractive project only installing one of the structures. QBP obtained a verbal agreement with the installer to perform the installation. Early to Mid-March 2024 QBP was asked to expedite the installation due to another one of their contractors (Landscaper) requesting QBP to work around their portion of the project. QBP immediately shipped hardware for WB to set six each post base brackets per their request. QBP actually sent a second shipment of additional hardware needed for this unexpected request. QBP?s assigned installer wasn?t inclined to continue on with the project for the following reasons ? 1. A much less profitable opportunity having to work on a multi-level building with a reduced rate due to changes made by WB. 2. Work on what was now a partial project that was started by WB. QBP informed WB that they would not continue with this project and would work out any monetary credits after an assessment of all costs incurred by all involved. Additional details including emails, documents, dates, phone conversations, and specific people communicated with can be provided as well.

QBP made the process easy. They understood what we needed and walked us through all the options. They scheduled a time to setup the pergola in a relatively quick turnaround time and their team seemed very knowledgeable and professional. My family has now a beautiful pergola that we can enjoy all year around. I highly recommend them for any pergolas!

Quality Built Pergolas has excellent customer service. We signed the contract and shortly, to our satisfaction, the Pergola was up. The quality of the wood and polycarbonate top is wonderful. The gents that did the work were quite professional, tidy and quick. Mark Nickley came to our property, did the measure with accuracy and explained our choices. We are more than pleased with the result! Please consider this wonderful company if you want a pergola!

A+ Service all around! Quality Built Pergolas has an outstanding sales team, customer service and installation professionals. David answered all of my design questions and helped me design a gorgeous contemporary pergola. The pergola was ready ahead of schedule and Jessica was very accommodating with the coordination of the delivery and install. Levi and Dustin were so polite and informative. The craftmanship is in the details - it is definitely apparent this team is passionate about their work. After the build the worksite was just like they found it – CLEAN. I normally have to clean up after the trades leave, but not with QBP. My husband and I are in awe with our new cedar pergola and black hardware.
