We appreciate dealing with Mike and his company over the past five years for a variety of projects. In July 2021, we needed his company to come back to replace gutters damaged by a neighbor's garage fire. Mike was able to get our roof repaired and reshingled, soffit replaced and improved the ventilation through it, fascia replaced, and seamless gutters replaced and hung properly. Mike is a very good contractor whose workers are experienced and knowledgeable. The team of gutter guys had the needed gutters extruded and up on the house quickly. Better yet, it works and drain properly! They pitched it just right to each end of the house. Why can't more employees take such pride in making repairs work? Mike's workers are great! Mike is very active in the customer service area of the business too. He was out to our house during the needed work at various stages. Mike does not have to check the work being done because it is being done right. Mike wants to make sure we are taken care of properly. When we seek to improve our house and garage, we talk to Mike about what can be done and know that it would be done right.

Mike Janotta misled me. He was professional up until he acquired the bid and was paid in full. He was hired to diagnose the roof leak and repair it. He subcontracted his work and the issue was not fixed. I made it clear to him on numerous occasions that the problem was not fixed, and he refused to fix the issue.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY 0 STARS~!!!!!! I hired Quality design Home Improvements 4/2020 to install an Egress Window. Mike, the owner, came to my house and was really nice and friendly. We discussed the egress window installation and other possible upgrades to my home. Mike, quoted 10-12 weeks to finish my egress window, however, that 10-12 Weeks starts when I provide payment (due to the contract). Eager to complete this project, I signed a check 4/29/2020, for 1/3 of the total cost . The check was cashed 5 days later. 2.5 weeks goes by and I had not heard anything from Mike or anyone from the company. My fiancee called and requested an update, to which, Mike seemed to be puzzled, and thought **someone** came to our house for estimates. Within that week, he sent someone to my house, who did not know what he was coming to measure. He wanted to come by during a time that was most convenient for him, which I still was working as an essential worker during the pandemic, so I advised him he would need to work with me on the schedule. He arrived at my home a little before I made it home from work, and stated he got measurements of all the windows. Confused, I reiterated, the measurements were for an Egress Window, so I believe you would need to measure the inside of my basement also. The worker had NO IDEA, it was supposed to be for a basement. To say the lease the poor guy was not competent or confident in his measurements. I had to remind him, the area he was measuring was not correct, due to an electrical outlet being within the space measured, to which he agreed. After he left, I almost called Mike to verify the process again, but figured, it is a pandemic, everything is going out of whack, give them a chance. A week later, I got a vm from the **worker** requesting to come back out to my house because he did not get the right measurements (No surprise). Again, he came into my house and spent what felt like 2 mins measuring the window. He assured me he got the correct measurements this time. 4 weeks went by and we heard NOTHING! So, frustrated, my fiance called Mike to discuss our concerns of the horrible process and we began to have second doubts about them being the company for the job. Mike's response was, **well, you signed a contract, and I thought they already started installing the window** When asked about the refund, he said he would give us a call back. NEVER HEARD FROM THIS MAN SINCE! It is now September, the 10-12 Weeks outlined within my contract is up, and I have not even received another phone call or follow up with the company or Mike. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS. I plan on filing a lawsuit.

TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!! STAY AWAY FROM QUALITY DESIGN!! I hired them in August of 2019 to replace my back door and storm door. The contract stated it would take 8-10 weeks to be completed. It took Quality Design over 26 weeks to install a simple set of doors. The first person they sent to measure the door didn't have a clue in what he was doing. I requested from Mike Janotta - (the owner of Quality Design) that someone else come to get the measurements for the doors. The second person came and took the measurements. 10 weeks later (mid October) I called Mike to see what was going on with my install. Mike told me that the doors had arrived and are in the warehouse but they were running behind on installs and it would be a couple more weeks. This went on for months. I would be given a date for the install of the doors by Mike. I would make the necessary changes to my schedule to accommodate Quality Design. Then I would get a text from Mike, The morning of the install saying they would not be able to make it out for the install. Not even professional enough to call to cancel. A couple weeks later Mike again tells me a date for the install, then again cancels the install because the installer was going dear hunting. Several more time I was given an install date only for Mike to cancel by text. Finally the second week in January 2020 Quality Design came out to install my doors. Only to find out that they didn't measure the doors correctly even though they sent 2 different people out to get the measurements. Mike told me it would take another 6-8 weeks to get the proper jam for the door. I told Mike I was very upset with his company. Mike told me well you will like the doors just not the process or experience. (seriously) Several weeks later Mike called to set up a date for the install of the doors. Only to cancel again by text. Yet another week went by, I received a text from Mike saying they would be out the next day to install the doors. Finally on February 22, 2020 the doors were installed. However the door knob sticks but the doors are in. I told Mike that he was in Breach of Contract and he would have to discount the remaining balance and send me an updated bill showing the discount. Again after several weeks I received a letter from Mike advising me the we was putting a lien on my house for the full amount due. I have now turned this over to a lawyer for breach of contract. I gave them 0.5 star because that was the lowest I could go, but if I could have I would have went lower. Please due yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE QUALITY DESIGN!!!

Quality Design is the best!! I first hired them to repair a hole made by a squirrel near my attic and was so impressed with the repair and new soffit/fascia work. The work was so good that I expanded the job to include siding replacement for the top front of my (3 story) house. Also, they fast tracked the job so that it would be done before my Dad came to visit! It looks so beautiful now! I highly recommend Quality Design and will call them for my next job!

Great customer service. They installed new trim on my front door. Very patient because they had to deal with some obstacles being an older house. Professional and honest. I'm very happy with the work!

DO NOT HIRE QUALITY DESIGN!! Quality Design put new gutters and leaf guard on my house in Dec 2017. By spring of 2918 we had problems with leaking. They hung the gutters improperly causing damage to the wood and electrical. Quality Design came to my house and admitted that the gutters were hung too high. They offered to lower the gutters but not fix my damaged wood, shingles and electrical problems. Mike Janotta was very unprofessional! I spent $3,200 on new gutters and leaf guard, and now I need to spend much more to correct the problems they caused. Do NOT trust this contractor to do ANY work for you!!

They did excellent work and the gentleman who did the work was very knowledgeable and polite.

Very prompt & courteous. Did very good work. Left everything very clean. Would definitely hire them again!

**Unprofessional / Unreliable - Would not recommend** If you are looking for a company to complete your home fascia project, look elsewhere. I would not recommend this company for several reasons: -Lack of communication -Terrible customer service -In order to receive "bottom line price", potential customers need to sign the contract with down payment on the day of the quote -Contract that we signed was to be completed in approximately 6-9 weeks from signed contract date. Actual timeframe took 7 1/2 months. Response to not meeting original timeline of 6-9 weeks was "we are sorry". No remorse, no care for their customers -Project had to be completed by 2 different contractors. Original contractor sent out was not capable of completing fascia, was actually a roofer. Second contractor had to come out and replace/redo a majority of the work. -Owners don't feel it necessary to review contractors work before doing final walk through with customer. Just taking the word of the contractor. -Poor clean up after project is complete-cigarettes, nails, scrap aluminum all left behind by contractor

The process was painless from beginning to end. The guys that wrote up the estimate were very thorough and informative. I was comfortable asking any questions; when asked, answers were given in a professional manner. VERY good company to work with. I plan to work with them when it comes time to update the gutters on the house.
