Quality Dry Basement installed a Sump Pump in my basement last Spring and it was installed so poorly it began leaking in a few months. I have had them come to repair it 3 times already. Each time the fix lasts shorter than the last before leaking terribly. Each time it takes dozens of unreturned calls before someone gets back to me. Then a few more calls to get a date and time, and then no one shows up. That?s where I am now - Customer service hell, with no option left except small claims court because they can?t properly install a sump pump. They must be going out of business soon because they really don?t seem to care or try at all.

Finished the project in January. Never came back to clean the basement. I have requested them to come back numerous times. Sent pictures of numerous times. They now will not return calls. Strongly suggest you seek other providers. They are not professional.
Response by Quality Dry Basements, Inc.: We have been in contact with customer from day one! a very difficult person to deal with and we have called and tried to make her happy. Floode4d basement is now 100% dry, with a little dust on some shelves. If she had been Honest with us she would have had the dust taken care of a long time ago. We requested to stay late day we completed the job to dust and customer refused. We set an appointment for a week day and customer refused. Customer was contacted again and we offered to send a cleaning lady to dust the basement- and she refused as she said we left buckets of concrete and a lady couldn't possibly clean what we left. She actually sent pictures showing buckets of concrete.They were taken during the job. After many different versions of what needed to be cleaned and by the customer, I personally went to her home and GUESS what dust on a shelf was all there was ? This could have been cleaned( and is not covered in the contract ) months ago. Honestly the woman has made up stories about a problem that did not exist .

Please, if you are in need of drainage systems for your basement, look elsewhere. From the beginning in Dec 2018, they showed up late day one. Then, Missed a couple of days (one for a tough night of partying and the other because of a MINOR fender bender). Day one, they were not equipt to get the water out of our flooded basement which is why we called in the first place. Had to use our stuff. Now, after 4 pump replacements (not their fault) I can not get them to come back to fix the floor that needed to be replaced. The cement they poured is only about 1/4 inch thick. They had to come back to fix other screw-ups as well. One time they sent someone who knew what he was doing. I asked for him for the next time we needed them to come back, and we were told we could not have him. We got the guys that messed things up in the first place. Even though I told Charlie I did not trust those guys. Is the basement dry? Yes. Is it finished? Not in my book. Charlie was supposed to come by 3 weekends ago. Still, have not heard back about that. It is now mid-March. 4 months later. Left messages. Texted. Still waiting. But I am sure Charlie will reply with how I am mistaken and he is working to make us super happy. May have to tell him our basement is flooded to get him back.
Response by Quality Dry Basements, Inc.: Customer had a flooded basement which is now dry. The person writing the review is not the home owner and was not involved in the negotiations or on the contract. In fact they were given a price, way below normal based on them being flexible on when we started the job. We did this job late fall and there was snow and ice and yes our crew was involved in an accident which prevented us from showing up - how un thoughtful of us. We did fix the constantly flooding basement , and went back twice to fix bad pumps. there is an issue with some of the concrete thickness, but this was caused by the fact that the original floor was poured unevenly and was thin in some places to start with. We cant put back more then there was to start with. I have sent several times and dates to the owner to inspect, but they fortunately are not acceptable> we will get up in a week to inspect .

They were very unprofessional, they were tardy and late showing up and my basement still leaks and they damaged my property and they won't return my calls.

They were good in the beginning but when issues came up they were no were no where around. and did not keep promises or keep in communication. .
Response by Quality Dry Basements, Inc.: We actually have been in constant contact with the customer. In fact we are scheduled to visit him tomorrow to make a repair to the system at not cost. The customer made alterations to our work AFTER the job was done- he removed his oil tank leaving a hole in the floor. We are going back to fill in the hole at no charge. This is actually not covered by the warranty-and we are doing FREE work.We always fix any problems and in this case we are not even charging the customer. We fixed the small leak at no charge and customer is very happy! No water!!!

Project: Waterproof a Basement or Foundation
My basement is dry. After work was completed, I still had water coming through my walls. I called and they came back to put a waterproof/plastic sheet up with tape that tied into the system they installed. We will see how long that lasts but for now the basement is dry. With that being said, everything that was in my basement is ruined. Everything is covered in about an inch of concrete dust. My wife’s inventory for her business is ruined. Our Christmas decorations are ruined. They put up plastic to protect our stuff but that clearly did nothing. Definitely clear out any belongings you want to use in the future and expect an inch of concrete dust when done. Thus, a bit of a mixed review.
Response by Quality Dry Basements, Inc.: Sorry about the dust. Dust is always an issue, as it stays in the air for days after the work and settles later. We always tell customers to take belongings out of the basement.This was a flooding basement and now it is DRY- that's what we warranty!

What a nightmare!!!! Charles is the owner of the company, when he came over to pitch the sale he spent more than half the time bad mouthing BUDGET DRY basements, saying how bad they were and he had to sue them because they were trying to rip people off with a new system that didn't work and he ended up alone, I thought it was very strange and unprofessional. Then he went on saying he was old school and did everything right and he always cared about the customers and that customer service was his main priority, oh boy was I in for a surprise!! The guys started the job at 10am, they were extremely sloppy, they were jack hammering the floor in the basement with the door wide open, then I noticed my counter was full of dust, I have a 2 and a 4 year old that were eating in the dining room while this was happening, I went downstairs and told them that it was crazy that they were creating this amount of dust and left the door open. At the end of each day they never cleaned the hallway on their way out on both days, I couldn't be more disappointed and surprised by the lack of professionalism. Charles came over the house to get remaining balance and was making excuses for his guys, saying that this is a dirty job, go figure! How hard is it to close the door and put plastic on the door so dust doesn't go everywhere? Should be standard procedure. On the same day I gave him the remaining balance and started mowing the lawn I noticed that he tied one of the sump pumps to the existing system(like we had talked about) I originally had but the other sump pump he simply had it going outside uphill so the water could go right back in the basement!?!?! I mean come on!!(see picture) We had talked about having them both in the existing system, it took them more than a week to come back and tie the other pipe to the original system, then when they filled the hole on the side of my house one of his guys put a rock covering it and said not to remove for a couple of days, when I removed the rock after a couple of days whatever material they used was falling apart(see picture). After more than two and a half months of getting my text messages and phone calls ignored by Charles he finally answered the phone and when I started telling him how disappointed I was in the whole process he started calling me "dude" like I was his high school friend, I said don't call me "dude" that's not okay, he then hung up on me. The amount of disrespect and unprofessionalism I have experienced with Charles is something I have never seen before, as a business owner myself I couldn't imagine treating my clients this way. I hope that this system they installed never fails because if it does I know it will be hell to deal with Charles again. Charles is the type of person that always has an excuse up his sleeve, never takes ownership of any mistakes. As I am writing this review the 3 inch hole they made on the side of my house still there because he refused to come back and always keep
Response by Quality Dry Basements, Inc.: Old flooding basement, now completely dry after almost 18" of rain- but dust during the project ?The customer is correct there was dust during the project, which we told him there would be. We did clean the dust every day. We have to cut a hole in the foundation to get the discharge line out to the surface. The customer agreed with the location of his discharge lines and paid us when the job was done. Then he changed his mind and asked us to change the lines location. We came back and changed the location at NO cost to him. We did not caulk the old location, but did come back later to do so. We did this with the owner present who was satisfied with the work. Then once again he changed his mind and wanted cement, which we explained would fall into the block cores- and here we are, he just keeps complaining even after we did work, which he approved changed! His system has been in for two months and he's never leaked! Although in a complaint to the BBB he says he is leaking from the discharge line hole. I wonder what the truth is? I have been in touch with the customer 6 times over the issue and we will close the hole with cement, and it wont hold, but we will do as he wants.
