This company really worked hard and a little longer than they anticipated to install the French drain in my basement. My basement slab was thicker than expected and the two men worked longer and more days. Ultimately, the job was done well, the team was professional, and they cleaned up all but the dust. The only knock is that I need another contractor to reinstall the bottom stair landing and radiator covers removed to install the drain.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"Les, Thanks for the great review. Your job was very difficult as your floor was over 10" thick. It took us a lot longer then a normal job and we as usual did not charge you for the extra work. We appreciate you trusting us to fix your problem. Now you can go ahead and refinish your old flooding basement !!! Charlie Owner Quality Dry Basements"

Installed a French drain in the basement left a dusty mess no clean up repaired areas left rough and unfinished. Did not use clean aggregate or stocking to protect drain from clogging
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"Thanks John for the nice review. We did a huge amount of work tearing out the remnants of a basement ravaged by flooding over the years. We also installed a new deep pressure relief system which has worked perfectly for you. I went to the job after the 3 days of heavy rains and your basement was bone dry!!!. Sorry we left some of the concrete over the trenches a little uneven, but we did gey the guys back and make it right for you. I know you are a real estate development professional so I really appreciate your kind review. Charlie"

They did an excellent job of installing a French drain in my basement. I only wish they would have told me there would be so much dust. I would have covered or moved some items.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"Thanks for the great review Rick. You now have a completely dry basement and can now sell the house! Sorry about the dust, but to do the job properly we need to cut and carry out tons of concrete. sometimes there is some dust."

Inspection Service
I got my basement waterproofed in 2011. According to the representative and the contract, I was supposed to be getting a yearly inspection. I called numerous times for over a year and no one returned my call. I finally got a letter from the company in 2013 stating that it isn't necessary to get the yearly inspection and the warranty would still be honored without the inspection. I contacted the company two weeks ago because my basement got wet when it rained. Someone returned my call after leaving 3 messages and told me to call back to speak to the owner about setting up an appointment to come out. I've called and left 7 messages and no one has returned my call. I find this behavior to be unprofessional. I will not recommend this company to anyone. No one ever answers the phone. I've tried calling at different times of the day.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"In fact we did speak with the customer and inform her her pumps where out of warranty. We told her the price to replace the pump and never heard back from the customer. Somewhere some how communications went array. ( She called us three times within 1 hour and after we spoke to her one day later she called 4 times within 2 hours ) ( Obviously this woman has an unrealistic sense of response time. We told her we had to check her contract to see if she was still under warranty. ) It turns out her pumps where out of warranty and she was informed she would have to pay for a new one I personally called the customer and set the process in motion for her to buy a new pump and have it installed. We have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau and we work hard to keep our customers happy. If this was our fault, we apologize and will make sure this doesn't happen again. After speaking with customer and once again informing customer her pump was out of warranty, she never called back to buy a new pump. This woman just wanted a Free pump ! She has since called us again to buy a new pump and then never sent us the money to buy it. She has set two appointments and never rturns our calls to confirm. She is just anoyed that she needs to pay for a new pump and just wants to punish us we bad reviews. In fact in over 7 years, she has NEVER seen a drop of water! This is very frustrating as we work hard to keep our customers happy. Charlie Owner Quality Dry Basements INC"

Charles, the owner, was very professional and explained the whole process very thoroughly in layman's terms. The pricing was very competitive. The crew worked very efficiently and cleaned up beautifully afterwards. After some heavy rains, no water problems thus far - keeping my figures crossed!!

workers were good office staff professional. After product was installed basement still damp and air quality poor. Had to call 6 times to get installer to return. Wanted to charge extra money to come even though product was only 1 month old and still under warrenty. Owner charlie would not return calls, had to deal with third party comunications. Once charlie sells you his product and you expect a dry basement and not get it, like me, going to BBB to try to get satisfaction. Finally after one and half months, he sent his workers to test my pump. Not the product according to worker, now it's a $5,500 job to put cement on my basement floor, just can't get satisfaction.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"We are truly saddened by the customers satisfaction with the system we installed. The customer called the office exuberant after we finished the job, Shortly there after we had a rain and the customer complained that her pumps never went on. We explained in detail to the customer that we are in a three year drought and until the ground is saturated with water that her pumps would not go off. The customer could not and still can not grasp this simple fact. She called again after 6 days of 90 plus degrees and high humidity to say her pumps were not going off and that she had moisture on her floor. We explained to her that she has an air conditioned upstairs, a crawl space that opens int into the basement and the different air temperatures where causing condensation. Once again she refused to accept our explanation and requested we come out and check her pumps. We told her we would do so, but if they were functioning she would be charged for a service call. She refused the offer and complained to the Better Business Bureau, who by the way have closed her case for her refusal to understand her warranty. I In fact she recently accepted our offer for a service call and we did test the pump in front of the customer. The pumps are working as designed and the customer owes us for an unneeded service call.We warranty against water leaking through the wall or the floor. If this happens, we return and fix the problem for free. We do not warranty against condensation or, humidity or pipe leaks as we have no control over these issues. We have over 5,000 systems in place and not one has failed. If there was an actual problem it would have been fixed immediately! This system works as designed and all terms of our contract have been met."

The employes were awesome! Very hard workers and very considerate and polite. I trusted them in my home. The manager Charlie was very informative and made sure I understood what had to be done. Thank you all. Finally a dry basement:)!

"Thanks Marilyn. Your basement had been flooding for over 20 years. Someone had even laid a second concrete floor on top of the original floor to stop the water. You live in wetlands and there is a ton of water surrounding your home. I knew we could get you dry and we did. Thanks for trusting us and enjoy your new dry and finished basement!"

We had a surprise flood in our finished basement. Considering we just purchased th house and are strapped for cash this was a major financial burden. We had 3 estimates but QDB had this most thorough solution and offered low interest financing. The guys were very professional and respectful. Worked hard and finished on schedule.

Avoid Quality Dry Basements unless you are looking for false promises, poor cleanup, damage, and no customer service. The salesman, Charlie Pellaton, promised (in the contract) to patch small cracks in my concrete block wall and to remove any tiles in my existing tile floor that were in the way of the job. Instead the men spread the concrete halfway over nearby tiles. Poor cleanup. The entire floor is covered with a glaze of hardened concrete. A large concrete stain was left on my blacktop driveway. Cracks appeared in the concrete two weeks after the job was done. 2 months, no response.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"We went out to the site and cleaned the customers driveway, a week after the job was done. Unfortunately, the tiles in the basement do have a slight film on them, but they are all broken from years of previous water damage. The customer was advised that she had no footings under her walls and how the job would proceed. She had no complaints other then the fact that she has a few hairline cracks in the concrete we laid over her interior french drain. Our contract specifically state this will happen and is not necessary to repair, as water will not come through them. We have had numerous heavy rains and the system is working perfectly."

The sales rep takes his time to explain the issue. Had some trouble with the date they were supposed to come in. Workers didn't show up one day and the job had to be changed to another date. Taking off from work with no heads up was inconvenient. Workers were fine. Left the broken 2x4's and construction in my yard when sanitation dept said they were supposed to take it. Nonetheless there so far is no leak. Owner passionate about his company but a bit too aggressive for me.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"Thanks for the review. Sometimes we have to change start dates due to unforeseen circumstances on prior jobs. We start and finish and never leave a job undone. Sorry about the two x fours, but our contract stipulates that we take concrete only. Glad the system is working fine1"

Had a flood in my basement. He came and inspected and told me I needed a French drain,. Told me a I needed a French drain not just on the wall with the leak but the entire basement for a cost of 16,000+. I decided to only get the wall with the supposed leak done for 4500. I also had to spend 3000 for new sheet rock At the end of the job he told me I already had a French drain and he removed the old pump and cemented that over. In the end I have the same flood. The response was it wasn't the French drain and I should tear down the new sheet rock as its probably leaking from the wall.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"The home owner had water after we installed his system, when there had not been any rain for over two weeks. We went back and checked our work,. Th home owner had a leaking pipe and had re-sheet rocked his wall. The water was clearly not a result of a leaking system, and we did not need to repair anything!. It appears the home owner, who only repaired a portion of his leaking basement due to budgetary restraints, is upset that he had to spend money to fix his problem. We have had many heavy rains since we went out and discovered the leaking pipe and we have not had any calls from the customer."

I interviewed 5 companies before choosing quality dry basements. The company was quick to get the project started, the workers were prompt, courteous , kept me informed about everything they were doing, they were very neat and exact with their work and left my cellar very clean. Most importantly my basement is dry and I have piece of mind. Thank you Glen and crew!

Run, do not walk, from this company. Of five companies interviewed to do mold remediation/ water abatement, we selected this one, despite high cost. Work was not to code, terribly done, wall sheathing totally covered one window and partially covered another; drains installed across front walkway so water collected and froze in a hazardous lake, will no longer drain so pump runs continuously . No warranty papers given, no bill sent, no response to multiple correspondences, refusal to speak with anyone about the problems. Placed a lien on house for more than what was due, with no notification.
Response from Quality Dry Basements
"We are in Litigation with this customer. All of the above is untrue. All work was done to the satisfaction of the homeowners representative and a bill was sent. We have found in our search that the home has been in foreclosure since May 2013., 6 months before we started our work.. A very devious and dishonest homeowner. The home is located in Connecticut by the way, not Florida. We are out over 75% of the cost of the job, plus attorney fees and court cost. We where duped by the homeowner, who had no intention of ever paying the balance for work performed. In this case we where deliberately mislead. We finally got paid i full and the customer has a DRY basement as guaranteed!!!"
