Definitely overpriced. They were more than 50% more expensive than comparable work. They did not provide a detailed quotation and a statement showing costs of parts and labor before and after the job. Their technician showed up in a van which did not have the QUALTECH logo and the technician gave me the impression of a free lance handyman technician instead of a regular QUALTECH technician. They do not leave the defective parts that they remove. They did not do any of the routine checks like gas pipe soap- bubble testing after disconnecting gas pipes. Be sure to get a separate quotes to compare for big jobs.

Our prices are very much based on local averages, and we always strive to provide the best value to our customers without sacrificing quality. If you had other quotes in writing at the time our technician's arrival, we would have been happy to review any pricing differences with you. I can assure you that our technicians can not complete any repairs without prior authorization, a quote was provided after he diagnosed your furnace. It is at this time that we will always provide the option of declining repairs, allowing the technician to proceed with repairs, or even just taking some extra time to think about it. Your request was for a seasoned technician who was well-experienced in much older units. We sent you one of our senior technicians. Unfortunately, his fleet van was in for servicing; however, he was gracious enough to use his personal vehicle for the day, instead of having to reschedule your appointment. As safety is our always our priority, and all precautions are always taken to ensure we are leaving a job site under safe circumstances, including proper disposal of old parts and ensuring we are not leaving any leaks in our work area. Should you wish to have an annual maintenance service to complete a routine check of your entire system, please feel free to call us to schedule our most current Maintenance and Inspection Promotion."

This was the only one of five bids that gave us a written estimate, in a folder, with copies of their liability insurance, references of past customers, and pamphlets about the equipment, in addition to their license number and all contacts. No one else provided us with anything close. This is a top notch, professional company with very competent employees, who are very accommodating! I would recommend this company to anyone. They gave us exactly what we wanted and did not try to upswell us. Daniel, James and Myriam were very nice people to deal with! Our new HVAC unit is purring along beautifully!

Had a dirty sensor, told me I needed a new thermostat too. Changed my hermostat to a digital one instead of the Mercury one I had, and cleaned the sensor. Cost was a little over $300. Doubt if that part was over $100. No price list of course, they just tell you a price.

Came quickly, gave quote and finished the attic fan relocation quickly the next day. Time frame for the initial quote was for two hours, but I had to call to confirm that they would come...and indeed came at the latter part of their estimate with 15 minutes to spare! Once here, very professional, and the work done was competed quickly and efficiently, moving an existing attic fan from one side of the house to the other for $450, which included some carpentry and relocating wiring.

The problem was a leak so we were given two options: reseal the leak in hopes that would resolve the issue ($400) or to replace the compressor which would cost $5000. They recommended trying the reseal first since we would not be wasting the expense since it would apply to the compressor if needed. Naturally, we went along with the cheaper alternative. It was nice that a company didn't try to sell us the most expensive solution straight off.

There was lack of or non appropriate communication, regarding final pymt an unauthorized transaction on my credit card and scheduling of city inspector. I requested an adjustment on final pymt and as a good faith meeasure for the above, they reduce it by 5%. I accepted and was pleased.

Had a great initial meeting and signed the contract. The guys who showed up to do the work were incredibly young and looked lost. The first think they did was call home base to find out what they were supposed to be doing. After 15 or 20 minutes I asked to talk to the supervisor they were speaking to. The conversation was abrupt and to the point. These guys had to leave. My confidence in these 2 kids was non-existent. After they left, the guy I signed the contract with called me and trashed me out for being biased against young people. Bull - but he didn't want to listen to me so I hung up. Then he called me back! I didn't answer that one. If they can't send an experienced guy that will instill some confidence along with the young one, prepare them with information as to what is supposed to be done and how, I don't need to waste my time. The sad part is I was pretty excited about actually getting this project done.
