RAM Design & Contracting

I would give a zero star if I could. Took 5 months to do a simple site map. Ran me well past when I needed to start this project by. Lied about turning in permit applications after I called drain commission to verify. Didn't even do the site map correctly and had to redo it and then threatens a lien when I tell him he is fired and I am not paying the last 2k of a 5k invoice since the plans I got are unusable and I have to start over with a new design firm. Started out good. Seemed professional. Went south quickly. Won't return calls, voicemail is always full, when you do get ahold of him he doesn't call back as promised, the only time he answers emails is to send a bill. Stay away. I wish I would have read the reviews first because they are all spot on. He came recommended from a friend and that friend has now also said he would never use him again.

We first met with Ryan in September 0f 2022 as we were going to add an extension on our home, with a master bath and walk in closet. We paid him in excess of $1,000 and at this time he has provided nothing but excuses. Multiple times he has told us he was emailing the plans or if we stop in his office he says they are done but they are not. In October he brought over a contract that was filled with incorrect information, He blamed it on his staff. I do not believe he has a staff. We were to receive the contract earlier than October 21, 2022 to look it over though we never received it. He also blamed that on his staff. He took the contract and went to fix the mistakes but missed a few when he brought the contract back. From the time he left to the time he came back he raised his prices by $50 an hour. When he was at the house my wife had made a passing comment that in the future we might want to make the current bathroom a little more modern. Ryan misunderstood and when we saw the first plans he had spent all of his energy remodeling the inside of the house. Nothing was done on what we had hired him for. It was extremely clear that he was to design an extension. We have documented and time stamped multiple attempts to get this resolved and he refuses to cooperate. Because he will not respond to phone calls text or email we have dropped in to his office, the last time we called him to let him know we were coming we arrived and his car was not visible, the door was locked and the lights were off but he was inside. We do have some documentation that this has happened to others so this seems to be a pattern. My advice is if you need some plans drawn for your home to bypass Ram Design and Ryan Wood.
