R&B Contracting

After reading the two earlier reviews, it is clear to me that Bud Maubach makes a lot of promises up front, takes money, starts a project, and never finishes it. He is so fly-by-night that he does not even have his own equipment. They had to borrow hand tools from me at one point! I should have known something was up when I was asked to pay the concrete company up front, since they did not even have an account. I too had to fire him, although I do not think he had any intention of ever finishing the project because he simply is not capable. Angi clearly does not vet its vendors. Never again will I rely on Angi (or any similar service) for contractor referrals.

Very frustrating group to work with; would never let me know what their plans were without my relentless prodding; took out the pad okay, but charged me to dump the concrete and then just disappeared. Told me the entire job would take 3 days. After over four weeks, no one returned to finish the job; at that point, I gave up and had to fire them. My lot required an expedient job due to rain threats and water drainage issues; this was just not the company for that.

They collected some money upfront. Started the job. Worked 2 days and did not show back up then wanted more money. We had to hire a totally different company to fix what they did and then finish the job. We WILL NEVER rely on Angi for any more of our needs again. We will just seek our contractors on our own. safer and more reliable!
