BEWARE - THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. The guy calling himself Steve Bowman knows nothing about restoring furniture. My mom hired him to replace the caning inserts on a 1930s headboard and footboard that had broken. 3 weeks later, we have the bed back, with a wicker basket-style insert, and both pieces have been completely stained/varnished without permission. Delivered wet and sticky back to her, plus he charged her $585, instead of the agreed upon $424. No real craftsman would stain or varnish a bed in good condition without the wood bed rails and without the customers permission. The bed was in perfect shape except for the broken caning. I have contacted a reputable company and we will now have to spend even more to get the bed completely stripped and repaired correctly. Please do not use this company.
