Did a great job very professional
Very professional, efficient and a very well done job.
When I called they were very professional, accommodating, available and easy to talk to. They were available within hours of my call. And when I was running a little behind for the appointment they were very flexible and understanding and waited 30 minutes for me. They completed the job well. It was kind of a hands off experience for me which allowed me to focus on other things. Also they wore shoe covers and masks!!!! So friendly, sweet respectful and helpful! I really enjoyed this experience I would hire them for other projects and really recommend hiring them.
I called RCI when my air was freezing up. They were great on the phone and got someone out here quickly. The technician seemed a bit stumped and then said he replaced the capacitor. A few days later the air conditioner froze again. I called and they sent another repair man. He quickly diagnosed it was a dirty coil and it would need to be cleaned. He was great, efficient and I was not charged. He said someone would call me to schedule the cleaning in the next few hours if not tomorrow. The call didnt come so I called. On the call I asked about the cost of replacing the capacitor. From my research it doesnt seem this was the problem. They said they would have someone call me back to discuss. No one did so I called again a few days later since my air froze again. No one has yet to call me back. Even if they didnt want to credit me the capacitor charge I would not write as negative of a review. The issue is the lack of follow up. I have decided to use a different company to clean the coil.
The specific work performed was to seal a Freon 22 leak in the outdoor coils of a 14 year old Trane XL15 unit. We had our previous a/c contractor out here in May, and they never even attempt to tell us there was a problem. Then we had another local contractor diagnose the leak, on their second visit and after wasting $500 worth of the Freon. They said it was impossible to repair and were going to quote a totally new system at around $4,300. I then went to the Trane.com site and found RCI Air. I called early this Monday and was happy to speak with Mike the owner. He sent out Lazaro the Technician, within the hour. Lazaro had it quickly diagnosed and explained all of possible options. He sealed the leak using a special epoxy compound that when heated, will seal cracks on aluminum pipes. Lazaro spent nearly 3 hrs. making the repairs and properly recharging and checking the system. This is day two and the air is coming out nice and cold. If you have an older Trane brand unit, I highly recommend that you call RCI air.
RCI replied quickly to my needs, sending someone same day. Luis was knowledgeable, and exchanged my thermostat super fast and professionally. Highly recommend.

We are very pleased. The service mam, Lazaro, was able to identify a minor installation error causing our problem. The problem had been missed by a previous service company. The total cost of this service and repair was less than the basic service from our prior company. The air conditioner now cools better/faster set at 79 than it did set at 77.
