Marlons Repair

Marlon has been a reliable and trustworthy handyman for us for the last several years. He has stained and sealed our deck and porch (twice), stained our fence, applied a protective oil on our sauna, and repaired and upgraded our gate. He’s a great guy and very skillful!

We hired Marlon for a landscaping project & he did a fantastic & meticulous job as always! We have hired him for numerous projects including painting our entire two story home & he did an excellent job. We have had so many compliments on our home. He has so many skills & is very knowledgeable about everything. I would hire him for any project that we needed done. I highly recommend him for any home project that you have!

He did not show up when he said he would, would come late in the day and work 2 hours. The sanding was so incomplete I had to use my own sander over the deck and get the peeling paint off that he missed. He did not look at the project and tell me there were other issues with deck that should be done until the last day, worked less than 6 hours and said he bid the job rather than hourly because he was a professional. He was also hired to stain but I said no after seeing the incomplete sanding and him blaming me for not pointing out the issues with the deck. He left a pile of screws on the rocks after removing the spindles, left the shingles out even after I told him where to store them. Overpriced bid for what he did, would not recommend.

Marlon is just wonderful, he stalled two awnings over our doors, and did a superb job, and didn’t take him long at all. We will definitely check with him if we need other work done Highly recommend him!!

Our deck was sinking to the right. When Marlon came to give us an estimate, he knew immediately how he was going to repair it. He removed all the boards from the deck and reinforced it so it is all level now.

I found Marlon on Angi. The reviews of his work were excellent so I contacted him. He answered back right away & was responsive to our inquiries throughout the project which was really appreciated. The project was to put up a faux tin ceiling & LVP in the kitchen & bathroom of a 100+ years old house. When we went shopping for supplies at the local Lowe's, the floor & lumber guys knew Marlon & told us he was an excellent contractor. The work was challenging because the PVC tiles were 2x2 & glue on & there are no straight angles in a house this old. Marlon is a true "craftsman" & was able to work through all problems, large & small, that were encountered. He is extremely patient & reassuring which was a big plus because we were on a tight schedule. Both my husband & I are perfectionists & we couldn't be happier with the result. We have him scheduled for other projects next year. Also, his prices are extremely reasonable; we gave him a bonus because his work is just that good.

Did very good work, stood by his word and completed everything he said he would do. Any issues that came up he would always explained it very well and we would formulate a plan. Would definitely use him again, and again.

Marlon has excellent skills and did a great job on our deck. He is very prompt at returning messages and showing up when he says or calling you to let you know if anything changes.

Very professional & fair estimates; Marlon power washed my garage, driveway & sidewalks. He proceeded the next day to seal the garage floor, driveway & sidewalks. Next day he painted the garage floor with paint & epoxy. It looks so amazing 🤩. Pictures don’t do it justice 😜👍🏽. Hire him ASAP if you need anything done ✅. I also got estimates for other things needed.

We had a problem identifying what paint to use. Marlon wanted us to tell him what paint had been used on the decks in our Townhome Association, but we couldn't find that information. Then we gave him a sample of paint chips from our deck and he was able to get them analyzed. We wonder why he didn't do that at first. We also found that Marlon's communication with us was not always as complete as we would have liked. Sometimes we weren't sure what was going on. But when he finally came with his partner to do the work., they worked quickly and did a good job. We are quite pleased with the result.

Marlon was quick to come out for the estimate and several times we changed railings, size, etc and each time he gave us a quick update on costs. His estimate was about $200 over our lowest bid BUT, given the customer service, I was more than willing to pay extra! Took a week or so to get the materials in and then wham! He was at our house tearing out our deck with just one helper. It took about 10 days as he was also working another project but end job was worth it. It looks great! He even had to fashion his own stair braces to accommodate the new build. Couldnâ t be happier! Now, weâ ll try to get him over for an estimate on some painting/texturing!

Marlon is very personable and works very diligently. He did an excellent job repairing and restaining our extensive wrap-around deck. He also refinished some door trim around our garage, again doing an excellent job.
