*** Buyer Beware! Rich sold me a unit and never returned to do the install. After 8 months of trying I gave up. When I went to hire a new contractor to complete the work, I found out the unit he sold me included the wrong parts and is the wrong size for my home. It's an outdated unit that I can't resell and can't use in my home because it is entirely too large for the sq footage of my home. Stay far away from this dishonest company. You will potentially lose thousands of dollars like I did. Reported to BBB who is conducting and investigation. Many previous reviews report the same experience. Wish I read them earlier.

He is not a people person and does not communicate well. Unprofessional because he did a no call no show several times and I had to wait weeks for him to complete a job that is not completed the toilet job which is crooked and not stable and wants me to pay for the mistakes and was in my area and still did not show up he told me I was first on his list to do work for the day and then called me to say he was late for another job. I feel I was over charged for appliance parts and pipes for the washing machine connection. He also cussed me out and used profanity.

Still has not shown up to complete the job.

My furnace had stopped working on the coldest day of the year. They promised they would be there before the end of the day and they were. They are Very reliable, honest, and trustworthy.

They did not show up as scheduled.

Rich did a great job at a very fair price. He arrived on time and was very professional. Would definitely recommend and we will hire him again for any future jobs!

Unfortunately, my rating for RG Home Services is 1 star. Things started out very promising. I submitted my Home Advisor request for Dryer Vent Cleaning and within minutes, Rich from RG Home Services called. We set up an service appointment for the following Friday at 9am for a charge of $65 + tax. By 10am on Friday, I called Rich. He said he was running late and that he would come around 12. I told him I needed to leave by 12:15, so he said someone would get here by 11. The serviceman arrived promptly at 11 and proceeded to clean the vent. When he had finished and and after I had given him my credit card information, I noticed the dryer was out of level and wobbly as he had neglected to put the rear legs on the vibration dampening pads. He re-set the dryer on all four pads, but after doing so, the dryer still rocked. He said that one front leg had â fallenâ down and that was why it continued to wobble and that it really did not matter. I told him that the dryer was stable before he started working on it, but he said that he could not **spend all day trying to level a dryer** and left. It turned out that he had not set the dryer on the pads firmly, so I managed to do that myself. Two days later (Sunday) we did laundry and the room became very warm and the dryer sounded much louder than usual. It became obvious that the vent from the dryer was leaking into the room. I immediately texted Rich, but got no reply. I called Monday morning and left a message with the office asking Rich to contact me. He called Tuesday morning and said he could send someone by noon that day to re-attach the vent. Since I was not able to be home at noon, he said he would send someone on Wednesday between 11 and 12. At 1:15 on Wednesday I called the office to say that no one had shown up yet and asked if they were running late, could they give me an approximate timeframe for arrival. No reply on Wednesday. First thing Thursday morning I called the office again. She said she would get the message to Rich that no one had shown up on Wednesday. Here it is more than a week later, and I have still not heard from RG Home Services. In sum: (1) They were running three hours late for the initial appointment, but did not bother to call to inform me; I had to call them. (2) Though they cleaned the dryer vent, they left the dryer wobbling and the vent leaking. (3) They never showed up to re-attach the vent was promised, no explanation given. (4) Charge for the job was $65 + tax. My credit card was charged $73. I did not do the math at the time, but it appears that I was charged 12.3% tax when I believe in Dutchess County the rate is 8.125%. I realize that this was a very small job, but if RG Home Services did not feel it was worth their time to make sure everything was put to rights, then they should not have accepted it. I have since hired another company (NOT from Home Advisors list) who came and made sure the dryer is level and stable and re-attached the vent.

Fast service,affordable and professional

Rich gave an excellent quote to service the burner, he came back the next day with the proper air filters. We then asked him to "clean up " the piping mess and replace the water softener. Here is the issue, the UV treatment that we had Rich install is suppose to kill any bacteria that has survived the filtering/softening/ and then to the electric hot water heater before we drnk or use it. Rich installed the UV treatment before the softener. When I ask him he said "I always do it that way" and "the warranty of the softener will be void if mold grows in there". Well, I understand that Rich does not want to have to deal with mfg, yet the UV is to protect my family not the softner. He said he would fix. But here is the rub, what does he think the UV light is for....?

Called and they came the next day

The time frame for the scheduled visit was on time. Very professional service. Quality of the work very good. Thank you for your professional quality work.

I called them the morning my water heater was leaking and I was in a bind as I was going away...they came within 2 hours and replaced the water tank and removed the old one..they were great and I would recommend them to everyone who has plumbing issues...they will be my go to guys from now on
