Rick was very knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. His prices were agreeable. It was clear after the remodel was done that he is a professional. The craftsmanship was impeccable. i would recommend any day of the week. Thanks Rick!

Don't hire this company, they take two months for a two week job, and have every excuse why they didn't show up. The quality of the tile work is deplorable. Would never recommend nor use again.

Response from Company:

Customer called me for an estimate to hang new doors and install tile @ his bathroom walls and corridor floor. Upon meeting Mr Nolan, I informed him that I was extremely busy with a large renovation on Clearwater Beach, and that scheduling would be tight. Upon Mr Nolan accepting my estimate, I again informed him that scheduling would be tight, and he said he was fine with that. the tile floor was an obstacle as it lay in between the bedroom and the front entrance and the kitchen, dining and living rooms at the rear. Small sections had to be laid at a time to give Mr Nolan and family access to both front and rear of the residence. I upgraded the thin set/adhesive which had a longer bond time than the cheaper thin set/adhesive. Durring this process I noticed several tile seemed loose. The residents walked on the tiles to soon and broke the bond. I removed and reset the tiles, NO CHARGE. I installed this floor with lasers for straight and square alignment, and for elevation along w/ straight edge, typical of how I install tile. I also performed work that wasn't in the contract such as, Removing existing vanity, top and faucet, Skim coat top half of walls (lower were tile), Painted top half of walls, Installed new vanity and top, Installed new mirror over vanity, Installed 2 new towel bars, Covered the cost of the upgraded tile. I did all the above extra work at no charge, as I felt it was best to give him a completed bathroom. At the end Mr Nolan said he was happy with the job. If he had voiced his displeasure I would have worked out a solution to keep him satisfied

Hardly ever answered the phone, got so far behind had to subcontract the drywall work, did do the orange peel on some wall and made a mess of doors and windows. Really needs to work on communication and customer support.

Response from Company:

In this business scheduling is always a factor. This customer lived out of state and commuted to FLA as needed. I was always available to the customer who contacted me 7 days a week day and night, by phone or text. I absolutely accommodated him with an open line of communication. As far as falling behind schedule, the customers electricians held me up 2-3 weeks, as they encountered extra work and demo. That's when scheduling became somewhat of an issue. I had other jobs ongoing. The drywall phase was originally 120 boards, ended up being 130 boards. To expedite the job I sub contracted the drywall phase which is common practice. As far as cleanup, I cleaned my job related mess. As the site was still under construction. The cleaning is done at the total end of the job, usually by a professional cleaning crew. This customer upon completion said he was happy with the final product.

We had a water leak on the third floor was affected every room in the house except one. Rick (and wife/partner Christine) did a lot of the repair work from laying new sub-floor and tiling, to kitchen cabinets and trim work. We had to interweave their efforts with those of other contractors, and they were able to work with us on that. Rick is very knowledgeable about pretty much every facet of construction and was able and more than happy to offer advice even on parts of the job he didn't do. He's going to be rebuilding a back deck for us soon. His prices are fair and all his estimates spell out what's going to get done and how much it will cost.

Rick did a great job for us. His work is excellent and he added a few extras which made our flooring look really good. He and his wife Christine are wonderful people and it was nice getting to know them. When we are ready to take care of a few more projects we will definitely have Rick do the work.

Rick did a first rate installation. He went above and beyond to secure the proper permits from a less than cooperative City of Dunedin building department. I would definitely use Rick on any future project.

The selections on the drop down list are inadequate to describe the job that Rick did for me. I originally hired him to remove and repair a damaged portion of laminate flooring. As with many projects, what appeared to be a simple fix, was not. In the end, Rick removed and replaced the damage laminate, removed and replaced a portion of damaged drywall, completed mold remediation, replaced the shower floor, pan and liner, removed and replaced a portion of the shower tile and the wall behind them. He is meticulous, professional and knowledgeable. He and his partner are pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend RHB and definitely plan to use then again.

I had a variety of projects assemble platform bed, design and install divider railing between dining areas and living room along with removing partial stair and framing out and dressing a/c access panel. Rick was very personable AND informative. The work done in timely manner. cooperated with customer to get what I wanted. clean and efficient. would rate this company high on my list of referrals.
