Work was performed on time and professionally. The crew worked neatly and any questions I had were answered immediately. I can honestly say for the money (and by the way the price was fair) I don't think you could make a better choice.

I was not familiar with roofing companies, but after speaking with representatives of 3 companies, I chose R. J. Severance & Sons to replace my roof. I was impressed with Kevin Severance who did the bid and informed me on the quality of the shingles, how his crew would protect windows and plants, and how they would clean up afterwards. I was really impressed that they own their own dumpsters, which they parked on the street versus risking damaging my driveway and leaving rust spots. They brought the dumpster the day of and took it away when the new roof was completed. I have seen other companies bring dumpsters days early and leave them for a couple of days after -- because they use third party dumpster businesses. Kevin explained some of the things that R J Severance & Sons does that is even better than code. They were part of his standard approaches in replacing roofs. I was thrilled that Kevin's quote was the lowest of the three as well. My wife and I are very happy with the results and the roof is guaranteed and will outlive us!

RJ Severance & Sons are the best! One of the owners, Kevin, came out to my house when I had a roof leak. He walked the roof and did some temporary fixes while I contacted my insurance company for a storm damage roof claim. Kevin met the insurance rep at my house when they inspected to help explain the damage he saw. As a result, it helped get my claim processed and closed that same day! He removed my existing roof and installed a new roof along with some upgraded steel roofing on front. He fixed all of the storm damage with new plywood and also corrected a ventilation error the builder made. Pricing was very fair and up front. Kevin was always available to answer questions, and his brother, Randy, was on site every day to supervise. This is my second house I have owned; R.J Severance & Sons has replaced both roofs, along with my parents, in-laws, and a few neighbors. Every job turned out great! I highly recommend this company! Local good people that charge a fair price and are always available if you have an issue! They really care about their customers.

I met with a half dozen roofing companies before choosing on R J Severance. I learned a lot from the meetings. They all used the same satellite -based computer program to obtain dimensions and a preliminary material list. One prepared the estimate based on this alone. Three made varying degrees of observations from the ground of the roof of my two-story house. Only two walked the roof to identify some of the areas where new sheathing would have to be installed. Kevin Severance was one of these two, and he also made several suggestions to improve the roof and gutter system to protect the new roof, which he included in the project. He and Randy Severance are the owners and one of them would be on the site at the start of work each day, during the day when needed and at the end of each day. They are roofers, where the other five fellows who had come to my house were salesmen. Severance's estimate was among the lowest. But Kevin and Randy Severance would be part of the project from beginning to end, and they would communicate with us directly as the project progressed. We chose Severance, and we're glad we did. Roofing projects begin with stripping off the existing shingles, papers and thousands of nails. Most roofers push this off the roof onto tarps below, including your bushes, plantings and whatever. RJ Severance has a special vehicle that pulls up near the house where it can and extends a large bin up to the edge of the roof so that most of the debris slides into the bin and not onto the ground. This reduced the amount of debris on the ground tremendously. The crew worked well together and carefully installed each component of the roofing system. Everything fit, lined up and looks good. We have received several compliments on the appearance of the new roof. Randy and Kevin Severance are among the most helpful and kindest people in the construction field you will ever meet, which goes a long way to making projects like installing a new roof as painless as possibl

This sounds like a recording from other reviews, but Randy/Kevin and their team did a superb job replacing the 19 year old roof on our home. From the estimate (Kevin spent 45 minutes on our roof!), to the roof removal/replacement, they were the epitome of professionalism and quality. They took great care to protect the numerous flowers/plants around our yard/house with plywood and tarps, and their cleanup was remarkable (down to using super-magnets to find and remove any stray nails in the grass). The end result looks fantastic, and we couldn't be happier and all for a competitive price. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work!

Kevin and Randy did what they said they were going to do. Installation was done in a timely way and very high quality. Feel so much better with new roof and gutters. Looks great. Their crew was very professional and friendly.
