Good work was done. I would suggest before agreeing to the work to ask for estimate for one coat and then what is the estimate for if two coats are needed before beginning the project. This will help you to have a realistic estimate of potential total cost at the outset and to plan for any additional costs. I was advised it is hard to tell how many coats are needed just by looking at the driveway, and that you have to put one coat down before you can tell if a second one is needed. In my case after applying the one coat I was advised a second coat would be needed and was charged twice the original price of 1000 so the project I planned for 1000 cost 2000 in total by the end. Also there was 3 hours between the application of the two coats as both were done in the same afternoon. I would suggest getting multiple estimates and to carefully plan for the cost and potential cost before committing.

They worked hard with good quality mulch. An extra, unexpected charge after the job was done was the only reason for not having top ratings across the board.
