Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup - Hawaii

The plumber who came was fine, he got the shower working again and even gave us useful advice for the future. We would work with him again. The person who called to set up the appointment was not honest and was unrealistic about how many plumbers were available and their schedules. We made an appointment, rearranged our schedules to be home. Waited 3+ hours. I called the company to ask what happened and a different person gave me honest and accurate information. The work ended up getting done the next day, which would have been fine to begin with if the 1st person had been honest in the first place. Tldr: plumber A-OK. communication prior: C-

When I was told the cost of the job would be $505.00 plus tax, I was shocked. He told me that the price was set by the company. I had $60 coupon, so it came out $465.00. Since he’s already at my home, I gave him ok. I couldn’t send him back because I was afraid there would be a charge for the visit whether I use his service or not. The job took approximately 30 mins excluding time he spent loading and unloading his tools. I felt so stupid for paying that much for 30 mins job.

One of my toilets was stopped up and I could not clear it with a plunger. I called two other companies advertising emergency repairs. Both were not available for at least 24 hours. Roto Rooter answered their phone and I had a technician at the house in two hours. The problem was fixed with a snake used to clear the plug. Technician was polite, professional and efficient. Roto's price was at he high end of companies contacted but worth a couple of bucks to clear the problem.

Called early afternoon Thursday, Aug. 2. Technician E. arrived about 4:30. Assessed the problem right away. Worried that old tubes could break during replacement. Sprayed on lots of W-D and said he wanted to let it sit for a while. He also found shutoff valve to the house....hidden under grass in front yard. Came next day as promised (called first). Fortunately, the mechanism loosened up. E. was able to quickly make the replacement. Double checked everything. Entire time was pleasant, explained clearly. Especially made clear costs and repairs needed if this approach didn’t work.

They were able to set up an appointment the same day I called and the plumber, John, arrived during the scheduled time. He diagnosed the problem, ie, a clogged drain and was able to completely fix the problem, even though, the solution was not very straightforward. He also replaced my old kitchen faucet with the new one I had previously bought. Again, it was not an easy job due to the design of my kitchen but he did an outstanding job. He explained everything he was doing, answered all my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend John and his company. I would definitely call them again if I need to fix anymore plumbing problems.

Great! I scheduled an initial estimate and John responded quickly and provided an honest estimate stating their prices were higher because they perform quality work. After receiving another higher estimate, I went with Roto-Rooter. All work completed with no problems.

They did a good job but didn't show up on the day that they promised. Showed up one day later and also had to return that same day due to a leak they missed.

The price was pretty much in line with the going rate. The quality was fine. They were prompt and thorough. They got the work done in a very timely manner.

Easy job since I unhooked everything. $400 is very expensive for 10 minutes of work.

Tony was very professional and polite. Tony knew right away what was wrong. He fix both the sink and toilet very quickly for a minimal bill. Additionally, Tony made recommendations for the kitchen sink.  We took our time, thought about it and followed his advise. We called Roto Rooter for a follow up with Tony.  We waited weeks for an appointment because Tony was on vacation. No problem. I wanted to wait. However, The day of the appointment and waiting two hours into the appointment time,I get a call from Roto Rooter stating Tony is not available and they can send another plumber. It is the day before our vacation. As this point, I agree to accept another plumber. I was disappointed. The replacement plumber did not have good customer service skills. The job was done well.  Bottom line.  I do recommend Roto Rooter. <br />

Johnny Agbunag arrived on time. He was pleasant and worked quickly to resolve both issues. Although the work was just completed yesterday, I doubt the clogging will return as both drains are running quite freely. <br />
