The technician came to service the unit, took off the covers from the outside condenser fan unit, and explained that it needs refrigerant. In the end, I was not able to turn my unit on as needed. I ended up contacting another HVAC technician who carried out a thorough inspection including diagnosis of the motherboard and found the actual problem which was something pertaining to the relays on the board. Those were replaced and the parts cost no more than $8.00. I was able to use my central air unit after the second technician fixed what the first tech could not figure out. So I did not feel like the fact that I had to pay out damn near $500 for nothing. What a waste of money. This makes me not want to hire anyone from Angis. I know you technicians trying to make a living like anyone else but at least know what you are doing and you will always get work. Do not try to play a guessing game like I just went through.
