Think of an almost 40 year old tree I my front yard, and a BAD Texas storm. That's a thing of nightmares. Massive limb half in the street, smaller one blocking the walkway. I couldn't even move the smaller one. Rad was working all over that day doing the same 'cut-and-haul-away' service (did I mention it was a really bad storm?). But even with that all of that he was here in under 2-hours! Fast and efficient work, cleaned up all the additional mess too. Fast forward about 14 months, and we got hit with another 65MPH storm. Woke up to find another huge limb down, this one just barely missing my old fence. Again, Rad was here quickly and took care of the uncooperative tree limb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rad and his company to anyone. Good guy, great work, honest pricing.

I do not recommend this contractor! He never started on time. He would start in the middle of the day and never stay but a few hours. He would leave for hours and come back for a few minutes and leave again to go home for the day. He did not have a consistent work ethic. In addition he did not have consistent helpers. However I paid him so he can "pay" his helpers. He was very unprofessional by brining up personal issues. He gave a bid for the job before we hired him but then he ran into some other things that needed to be repaired and he would not provide a new estimate for those repairs. He actually had the nerve to tell me I needed to pay him to type up the new estimates for my insurance company. He would quote the price on the other repairs verbally and we paid based on what he said. He would not provide a receipt after we paid him. He would constantly ask for money. We never saw some of the materials we paid for which includes a small kitchen window, fencing, and paint. Our original bid was $6200 and we ended pay this guy $9800. The additional projects were never completed as well as the original bid. He eventually stopped showing up after we paid him in full of what he asked for. He started this project the weekend of March 24 and he milked this until the middle of June. At the time we hired him he assured me it would be done in 2 weeks just for the original bid. We ended up firing him and hiring another company to finish the job. Never again will I use this man. Homeowner beware!!!!!!!!!!

I had patio cover panels to install on our patio framework, but needed some woodwork done to the eaves first. On April 1, Rad came out to the house and viewed the proposed work. He quoted me a price and in the discussion about the project, he said he would need to hire a helper for the awning panel installation. I received a contract that day. He said he would start the next day: Monday, April 2, 2018 and initially said it would take about a day. He had many personal issues that got in the way of the work, and I was very patient with him about it all. On 2 occasions, I advanced part of his fee so he could hire a helper, which he supposedly only needed for the patio cover. On both occasions, he did nothing on the patio cover. On Wednesday, April 23, I let him know that I did not want to continue with him and wanted him to finish the woodwork and that would be it. He came the next day and picked up his equipment, but did not finish the woodwork nor the painting of it - he just left. After a closer inspection of the work he did do, we discovered that he did not do the fascia correctly. It does not match the rest of the house, and it will be in the way of the installation of the patio cover. I will probably have to have someone else totally redo it. Rad was never on time and never completed the items he said he was going to do. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and feel like I wasted my money.

I would not recommend Rad because of the bad experience I had with him....he did not provide a written estimate until the last day of the job; he was quick to take the job and tell me that he could do everything on my handyman list, but when he was "thru" with the job, some items were not complete (i.e. he placed a piece of white trim under an uneven base cabinet to even it up. The piece didn't match the wood/stain and it wasn't even affixed to the bottom of the cabinet...just sitting there under it. He was late affixing the countertops to my cabinets so that when he was "thru" with the job, he could not mount the cabinets to the wall because the liquid nails was not dry and "cured", since he didn't mount the countertops until the last minute....bad planning. so I had to have someone else finish his work. He adjusted by bill, but not by much. And 3 or 4 days after he left, I found a dent in my new flooring (vinyl, sheet) that wasn't there before he came. Not happy about that at all. I asked Rad to stabilize a cheap cabinet made of particle board, and he did an awful job! The cabinet backing he put on promptly came un-nailed, and the cabinet doors hung crooked and the pantry cabinet is still unstable and looks bad. Rad and/or his assistant tried to throw away many of the items that were left over or replaced, without my permission...I had to dig them out of the trash. I asked for an electrical box and outlet to be replaced and mounted correctly with some repair to the surrounding sheet rock (small piece missing), and what he did was replace the plate only....it was still upside down and had no new outlet or box...I did ask him to do it over and he or his partner did...and it was much better. He mounted a light fixture over the bathroom sink, but I don't think he used a level because it's crooked (just a little, but none the less crooked). He rushed thru mounting my bathroom cabinet and sink and did not really want to remove some trim behind the cabinet that made the cabinet protrude out too far and then the bathroom door he mounted doesn't open without scraping the sink. He called me about it, but when I asked if the trim could be removed, he said it might mess up my wall and floor so he suggested leaving it, saying the door would still clear. I should not have listened to him....when it was finished, it was just wrong! He acted almost like he didn't want to bother with removing the trim before installing the cabinet. As an experienced handy-man, he should have known better. As for the bathroom door, we have had to do that job over again, building up the sides of a 36" opening so that a smaller door would fit. So I had to pay an extra $50 for a special ordered door, and can't return the old door. He patched up a few small areas by the trim that needed sheetrock, but he used caulking...it looks OK. I paid for him to mount my smoke alarm, but he forgot and I didn't catch it until after he was gone. So no adjustment on the bill. I

"I've been doing this business for 30 years. I was hired to finish work that her boyfriend did not finish, while he was out of town. He came back before the job was finished, this caused trouble between them, so of course it effected the job. She wanted the job done for free since we were not done with job before her boyfriend returned. It does not work that folks. Luckily I always take before and after pictures! I have visual proof of the job. She also asked me and one of my employees to do something that I wasn't comfortable doing and politely declined, and this set her off. All I can say is I have before and after pictures, And in addition, I had this customer call my office since she wanted to complain and complain, my wife is a fare owner just as I am. My wife spoke to this customer for about 15 minutes, my wife may have given her some kind of adjustment, but she dropped the f bomb word after word after word, even called me an MF over and over. If you are trying to obtain a discount, it is not wise to drop the F bomb at my wife, you will receive zero compliance, you might as well talk to a brick wall. In the words of this customer, Bad Experience!"

I should have known there was a problem when he wanted money up front. I initially gave him a check, but then he left the job site saying he was going to buy materials and did not return until late the next day. Rad's behavior was erratic. He would give a "courtesy call" with an arrival time, only to show up hours later. He told me he preferred to start late and work late, so arrived after 11 but left the job site before 4 pm 3 of the 4 days. He left the job site an inordinate number of times to "go get materials." He was also confrontational with another contractor I had hired. Rad was on and off site over the course of four days and managed to only complete two jobs--putting up a mailbox and cleaning out the gutters. The painting job he brought someone else to do was done so badly, it will have to be completely redone. He did manage to put up a new 6 foot section of fence, but did not finish the gate for that section. The old gate hardware that he said he would reuse is nowhere to be found. When told the timeline for the project had changed and that his services were no longer needed, he became belligerent. He was paid for work completed, but complained it was not enough and threatened me with legal action.
Response from Rad's Quality Services RQS
"A comment is in progress. All I can say right now is it have pictures of completed work, a cancelled check (RQS had to pay for her $600.00 check), and employees who had to be paid for there services. My policy for half the money to start a job and balance due on completion has been that way for 30 years! Also, I was working a Veteran, the other contractor took it upon himself to confront my employee. Well, my guy didn't have his Veterans ID, so an argument started, for what? We support our veterans and we hire them any time we can, due to high work ethics. If you have concerns with any contractor or handyman ask questions, check references, read reviews. And about the legal action, Yes of course, cancelling a check is viewed the same as a hot check, if the check was given in good faith, and it was. Also read review please, she is a woman scorned because she said she did not know Rad is married, she had her eyes set on him, she didn't get what she wanted so she trashed us with her review. We always put our customers first, but sometimes even we have to walk away if a situation has become toxic, and this job was an example. Thanks for reading, Rad and Stephanie, RQS"

If you value your money and time like my family and I do, I recommend using another contractor. By far the worst experience with a contractor. I'm saddened to write this, as I thought Rad and his crew were going to be professional, reliable, and hard workers based on the reviews on this site -- but my family and I were very shocked to see our small projects don't come to fruition in the span of two weeks they worked in our home. Had two small projects, while another got added due the damage caused to our fence gate bylack of foresight on their end. They would show up to work smelling like alcohol, would only work 3-4 hours max (after the initial day they started work), and would decide to not show up randomly, though I had asked if they could please send us a notice if they think they won't be able to come in. Various other unprofessional behaviors from this crew (late night txts about cat emergencies, etc.) which has led me to pursue my case with HomeAdvisor, and possibly other avenues. The pictures and videos of the patio cover (sent to HomeAdvisor) done by them is mind-boggling, as the leaking, slanted installment, lack of caulking, and lack of proper water drainage is causing damage to my house. HomeAdvisor recommended a third party to come in and give an estimate, and the estimate is around $900 to take out everything, buy more materials, and re-install.
Response from Rad's Quality Services RQS
"To start with, the customer did remove this review, so I believe enough has been said on my behalf. And here is why this review is back, HomeAdvisor did an internal audit, HA did not delete this review as the customer wished. Instead HA lost the review and when they found it they put it at the head of my reviews. I discovered what was going on, one HA rep told me the TRUTH and he moved the review back to the date are it should have been in , and three other HA reps talked in circles trying to convince themselves that they were correct, they even tried to convince me that customer had gone back and amended their review (2 years later, nah),HA still has not done the right thing by removing this review."

The rip me off. I gave them 400.00 up front and they never done any work. They refund me 300.00 after hassle with them for about a month.
Response from Rad's Quality Services RQS
"Not true, weather played an important role. Then when we show, there was twice as much work as originally agreed upon with signed contract. We didn't get credit for the work we had already done. I had to walk away!"
