When I hired Rainier Construction I let them know that I wanted 2 through-the-wall ac holes put into my walls. I described what I needed was headers and footers put in (essentially rough out for a window). The pictures attached are what they did. They cut 3 of my studs without putting a header and footer in. The workers tried to explain to me that the â frame they put in would distribute the load of the wallâ . I a professional by any means butâ ¦ I know the way they did it was completely wrong and would compromise the wall. After I pushed on them and told them I knew it would not distribute the load (which it wouldnâ t because it was just some wood blocks screwed to drywall and maybe side nailed to the studs) they started to tell me that cutting the studs they did would not compromise the wall. Now for those that donâ t know, you should never cut even one stuff without proper reinforcement (let alone 3). Donâ t EVER let someone tell you otherwise. If you donâ t believe me look it up. No one would ever tell you that what they did was ok. Now I understand that a company may have a bad low skilled worker that may not represent the company, and if a supervisor or manager came out and corrected the issue right away I may have either ignored or just docked 1 starâ ¦ but that isnâ t what happened. There manager named chase (one of the main people listed on their website) came out and said that what they had done was structurally ok and that cutting those studs would not compromise that wall. I told them this was not ok. Chase was insistent and would not change his toon till I threatened to call the county, because what they were doing was unacceptable. We finally got him to agree to do the work correctly but he said they had to charge us significantly more. Since the project has started and I already had a hole in my wall I felt trapped and had very little options but to agree. If this wasnâ t enough the main guy they had assigned to the project was sloppy and took so many short cuts and though the work he did was good enough. This included cutting the boards to short and having to shim an inch between the header and the stud, not masking off the wall plug and getting texture everywhere (I had to replace the plug and wall plate), and leaving the outside unfinished ( so I had to paint it myself) I strongly recommend you use a different contractor. I have never felt so uneasy about a project and it made me feel ill.

They communicated every step of the process and through adverse circumstances beyond their control. They began and finished exactly when they determined they would and matched allexisting work perfectly. I definitely recommend the for any concrete work.

Very pleased with the deck that Jeremy completed in the timeframe he quoted. Price was very competitive. Cleaned up work including picking up any nails that might have come off from the old deck. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Rainier Construction again for other work that is needed at my house.

Jeremy Nelson was great. Not only did he build a terrific deck but he also helped with the design, materials selection, and even with the installation of our gazebo tent. Price was competitive too. I won't hesitate to recommend this contractor.
