Please do not trust this company to know what they are doing when it comes to soil amendment and plantings of bushes and plants. They know very little, which he admitted regarding plant names, but I did not realize he was unaware of how bad clay soils are for plants and bushes even after numerous conversations with Nick regarding this concern. He assured me that good soil would be placed in the gardens, which did not happen. He also kept stating that clay is better than sandy soils because of better water retention, just not hearing what I was trying to explain. (I explained to him that I have been gardening for over 30 years.) We had to redo three gardens ourselves because plantings would have been planted in very hard clay soil, suffocating them. Never received a follow-up call or an in person visit after completion of sod, bushes, plants, mulch. When bushes started to die, I called and left numerous text messages to Nick Cobb and never heard back from him. This was completely puzzling. I finally had to resort to calling our builder to get Nick to contact me since our builder had recommended him. Nick sent his brother who transplanted the dying and dead bushes into good garden soil, but this has come too late and we will have to pay, again, for replacements. Has been a tough year and half after everything was destroyed by fire and all that entailed including gardens and lawn.

Their work and workers were very sloppy. We had to continually check what they were doing and lots had to be re-done. We had the work done in June and they still have not come back to do the final work promised. They planted numerous shrubs incorrectly according to the UofM guidelines. Some of the sod was dead when installed. They never came back to repair dead areas of the lawn and to replace a bad stone. We hired what we thought were professionals because we could not do it ourselves. This was very disappointing. They talk a good talk, but do not follow through.

Nick and his crew did an awesome job for us. They installed rip rap and mulch around our existing pond. This was our first project that we have ever hired out. They exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the finished product. Pond looks amazing! :)

My wife and I used Rainmaker Outdoor Services for installing a backyard patio with a fire pit, waterfall feature, sod, a deck railing and lattice. Mike, Nick and his crew did an outstanding job!!. From the start of the project to the very end of the project they were very professional, curtious, respectful ( of my property and neighbors), informational (explained every aspect of the project, before hand, and during the install) and most importantly their customer service was top notch. They treated us extremely well, like every customer should be treated. There are many choices in the Twin Cities to choose from for landscape projects but if you want it done right and the customer comes first attitude, look no further than Rainmaker Outdoor Services, I know we won't for any future projects, Give them a call you will not be disappointed, I know my wife and I weren't. Thanks guys for a great job, we will enjoy our back yard oasis for many years to come, thanks to you.

The project turned out beautiful. Nick was very responsive to my questions and he made sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

Beautiful, efficient work done by this company. They made my patio look really great and cleaned up afterwards too. I would highly recommend them for an outdoor project large or small. Nick was very easy to work with and it was done when he said it would be.
