Bathroom - Remodel
Do not I repeat do not hire this company to do anything in or around you home you will regret it. They are the most dishonest unorganized unprofessional group of people you will ever encounter. I do not even know where to start. I hired them to do a bathroom remodel in my home. Once I paid my down payment they showed up the next day and demo the bathroom. They did not have the proper tools for the job and by the way they never had the proper tool for the job at hand so the really did a job on my walls and ruined my brand new vinyl floor in hall just outside the bathroom. This took about 2 to 3 days because they only work maybe 2 to 3 hours a day because they claim to be running from one job site to the next. Once the demo was done they kind of disappeared for a few days until I called to find up what was going on. The contract called for a floor to ceiling tile shower when the time came to start working on the shower the plumber arrived and rearranged the water line to accommodate the type of shower head I wanted which buy the way I had to purchase myself however in the contract it was their responsibility to purchase and relocated the shower drain keep in mind up to this point I had not seen one person take any type of measurement. A few days later I get a call stating that because of the type of tile and shower head I wanted they would be needing $573.10 for the tile upgrade and $750.00 for a diverter for the showerhead I was planning to install due to it would not have enough water pressure to run it. Them not knowing that I had a background in plumbing I knew they were lying about me needing a so call diverter for the shower diverters are built into each and every shower valve if you purchase that type I wanted install and it sure would not cost $750 unless that was the price of the shower . This was and a tempt to rob me of money I never gave the money for the shower however I did give them the money for the tile. At this point I requested that they give me a break down of the max amount they would be spending on material i.e. Tile how much Showerhead how much Faucets how much and so on. I was told that they could not do that. Next I was informed that they plan to install prefab shower floor and not the tile floor that I was expecting and after some back and forth I agreed to the prefab floor. The floor arrived and when they went to install it found the drain was off and had to be cut and reposition once again to fit the shower pan this was the case with about everything they did it was like watching the keystone cops in action. After a week or so the shower was built the wife is not happy with tile grout lines being so wide and them using different color grout but by now I just want them out of my house. The shower contract called for a sliding glass door to be installed. I get a call from the owner of the company Mike one day asking if I would not mind purchasing the shower door because you guessed he dose not have any money to make the purchase and like a fool I agreed to purchase the door because he said it be subtracted from the remaining balance. By now my wife and I know this company is dead broke and robbing Peter to pay Paul. Now I am getting worried some thing told me to measure the square footing of my shower and see how much my tile that was really needed to get the job done and how much it would cost. Come to find out my $573.00 was enough cover the tile mortar and grout. I called him on this and he claimed he spent $1000.00 on my tile so I asked to see the receipt about 2 hours he shows up and hands me this receipt for a $1000.00 I look it over and noted that this receipt not once listed the purchase of tile what so ever. I just wanted this ordeal over so I asked how much was my remaining balance and he said $5200.00 by the time I walk back to get my credit card and pay he handed me his cell phone to complete the transaction he had changed it $5500.00.
