Willett Construction

Hired them to build a 24x32' pole barn. I was quoted about 60,000 for grading, stairs, 14' garage height with a room above, including a gravel floor and gravel around barn with 4' of gravel in front of the 2 garage doors. I asked for Anderson 400 windows and got a cheap version instead. Grading was left to allow 1" of water to collect in garage after every rainstorm. I paid 6000 extra for a concrete floor that collects water in the middle as it dipps down over 1 ". Floor cracked after 1 month and the stairs were so wobbly I had to remove them and install them properly. Then this contractor tries to charge extra for the gravel that was original quoted. He lied about gravel under the concrete( as I was onsite the afternoon before the pour and noticed they were just grading dirt). This company does shady work and when they don't get paid for extras not included in their contract, they call you into code enforcement for no permit. Terrible , Alex Willet is a liar and a RAT!

Do not hire these guys to do tile work. THEY have no clue how to lay tile. Many tiles on my floor are over 1/16" out of level with each other, they left a hole in my wall, did not finish the door straps to each room as they promised and tried charging 29.8hrs labor for less than 18hrs of actual labor worked to remove old flooring. I thought the owner would notice how bad the tile job was when he arrived onsite to deliver grout, but instead said they don't follow lippage standards! So I only paid what I owed on the contract and not the extra 25% uncharged for labor. THEN THIS GUY DECIDES TO BE A RAT, AND CALL CODE ENFORECEMENT ON A PREVIOUS JOB! SHOWS YOU THE TYPE OF PERSON HE IS. I AM STUCK WITH TRIPPING HAZARDS IN MY HOME, AND NOT THE PROFESSIONAL $10,000 TILE JOB I PAID FOR! DONT USE THIS CONTRACTOR, CHECK BBB, AND ALL REVIEWS BEFORE HIRING CONTRACTORS.

These men did a Great job. I highly recommend them. Very professional, courteous and know what they are doing. Very positive experience working with them. They went out of their way to do everything right. Very detailed. They even came out on their own time to fix a leak on the roof. before they got started. I most definitely felt comfortable with them doing the metal roof. Not an easy job as it is a 12x12 pitch with four big dormers. 5 stars to Willett construction!!

Moved into my house and realized two months later the roof needed to be replaced. Alex quickly came out to look at it, quoted me a very fair price, and made me feel confident in opting to work with his company.

Does shoddy work. Hired to install replacement window. They did not finish the outside trim on any of the windows. One of the windows does not work. The replacement windows are of a poor quality. Promised to came back and do the outside trim but never showed. Does not return calls . Lowes installed a few of my windows before and did a lot better job. Do not hire this contractor.

I expect they can do small projects...remodeling, roofs, garages...but dont bother if you have a set of prints for the project. We ended up hiring others to finish. The men were hard workers and congenial, but we are not well guided. The electrician Brent, was top notch. This project was supposed to start 11/2020 when we gave a 1/3 deposit. The slab was poured 6/22/2021 and as of 10/14/2021 the last window was delivered. Sheet rock and tape was left 20% undone due to mishaps in building. None of the interior doors were done. The work to be done upstairs, was left with a gaping hole. It all started with the incorrect roof trusses being installed causing 3 roof ridges, where there were supposed to be 2. I could go on but, I am sure you get the jist. If your project is complex, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Installed replacement windows. Scheduled and then canceled, but did reschedule after two weeks. Workers were friendly and knew just what needed to be done. Pricing for the work was excellent. Job finished inthe time they said it would take. Would defineatly hire them again if needed.

Very easy to get in contact with. Workers were professional and worked hard. Had a few issues (due to the roof itself) and they have helped me every step of the way in resolving all issues.

This job was done with perfection! Alex is a very nice person. I would use this company again and I would highly recommend.

Tough year for contractors with weather issues and material shortages but Willet's Construction of Malone NY absolutely crushed it, even when there was a mid-project design addition of a second story deck off the master bedroom. Great teamwork and an owner who truly cares about satisfying his customers! So we had an existing 16'x 24' deck resurfaced with trex, a new 12' x 42' deck across the front of the house and a 15' by 15' upper deck constructed, and what a stunning transformation to our property! Thank you Team Willet!!!!

very professional in their work

Project came out exactly how I visioned. And we stayed within budget . They stripped the old roof and siding and took care of the clean up. Looks like I have a brand new house now.

Thankfully they where very quick. Very nice fellow sent. I asked him if the roof could also be shoveled and he did it well! Along more importantly performed our repair..

Since the original estimate in August we have been really patient with Willets Construction waiting til late November to finally have the roof put on, They showed up a day before thanksgiving in wet weather. And hurried to completed the job in four hours, and the following day it was leaking. I do not recommend them

Extremely disappointed. Late Unprofessional Sloppy Overpriced Looking back on this I would have paid an additional $10,000+ for a more reputable company. Do your research and call references. I was impatient and spent $20k on a $10k roof that looks awful.

6 months after my roof repair it began to leak again. Called 4 times and never received a response.
