Rancho Santa Fe Glass

Rancho Santa Fe Glass installed a new store front window and door, plus some other glass and metal doors inside. Started off fine, Dave seemed professional and responsive. Once the doors were installed we noticed an issue with the front door. The latch hole was off and we couldn't lock the door. Obviously a HUGE safety issue. I reached out to Dave numerous times via phone, text and email. He said they would send someone out and never did. Then he just stopped responding altogether. We ended up having to hire someone to widen the hole that was a fabrication error on Rancho Santa Fe Glass's part to begin with. Inside doors also had issues that were never address. One of the doors handle were installed loosely and never fixed. The other doors opening dimensions that were given to us were inaccurate so I had to pay another contractor to seal around the door once it was installed. Extremely disappointed in their craftsmen-ship and customer service. They should 100% take the "Our Guarantee" section off their website since they don't live up to the 100% Client Satisfaction Guarantee that they claim.

They did a great job

Dave had replaced my windows, which cost over $6,000, although he broke the valance on one of my windows. He promised to fix it when he came back to do a second, but smaller job installing glass doors on a built-in bookcase. He acted real friendly, flattering me with such nonsense as "you're now family" and "you'll get the family discount." But that was over a year ago, and the valance is still not fixed. And he never installed the glass doors, even though he claimed the glass doors had been ordered and had arrived in his shop. Suddenly, without any explanation, Dave stopped returning my messages and screened my calls. This went on for months. I then called him from a different phone. Guess what?! He picked up immediately, apparently thinking I was a new customer. He promised to install the doors and even set a date and time. Two hours before he was supposed to come over, he texted me from the airport claiming that he had to go out of town at the "last minute." He promised to reschedule when he returned. Nothing. I then emailed him, this time copying the general contractor who had originally recommended him. He finally responded, asking why I was copying the general contractor. He said he couldn't find the glass doors. Then later changed his story and said his assistant had inadvertently thrown them out. I gave him more chances to make things right again. He did not. I got so fed up that I have finally CANCELLED the order. He may seem friendly, but don't fall for it; it's FAKE. I feel that after he had made enough money off me on the $6,000 job, I was no longer useful to him and he treated me like dirt. He will NEVER get any referrals from me.

Dave from Rancho Santa Fe glass was very effecienet and even retuned with a part that he need to complete the job the same day. We were very pleased to hae Dave fix our show door!

First of all, Dave from Rancho Santa Fe Glass is the only company who would tackle the job. All the others that I called would only install their custom shower doors. I had already bought one from Home Depot Online that a handyman attempted to install at first but couldn't because the directions weren't very clear. Dave sized the situation up in no time and did an amazing job! He proved to be a reliable and competent pro who I recommend with total confidence of completing any job.

Dave was SUCH a nice person...came promptly and solved my problem in short order....repairing my sliding glass shower unit in time for arriving guests! He even works on old steel casement windows! The best.!

Dave at Rancho Santa Fe Glass was fantastic. I hired him because we were redoing a small bathroom, and my general contractor—as well as his shower door specialist—was uncomfortable hanging a frameless shower door with barndoor-style doors. I reached out via HomeAdvisor to Dave, and we had great communication throughout the process, from setting up a time to confirming all the details. When the day for the installation came (he installed a Kohler Levity shower door) he and his assistant showed up on time and got to work right away. He'd thought it might take 3-4 hours, but they were done in about 2 hours, and did a great job. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needed this type of work, and certainly will work with him again in the future if I need more glasswork done for any reason.
