Randal did a bathroom for us 15 years ago and did an outstanding job so we hired him to do another bathroom. We did demo, he sheetrocked the walls and ceiling and tiled the floor and bathtub area. Our first problem was the studs used for framing the face of the bathtub for tiling warped and the tiles bowed out in the middle. We talked to him about redoing it and he said he had a suggested fix. This consisted of installing a metal trim with caulking to hide the top edge of the bowed out tiles. He said to look at it and tell him what we thought. We told him we didn't like it and he didn't seem open to fixing it. After the tiles in the shower area were grouted, a lot of imperfections in the tiling job became apparent. Tiles cut unevenly, a lot of lippage on upper level tiles, wide and thin grout lines, no consistency, corners had a HUGE gap that wasn't filled with grout out to edge of tile. He had cut the tile around the window to allow for window trim, but we discovered it wasn't consistent - 4" on one side, 3" on another, 2.5" on another. Impossible to trim out. He had admitted on the phone that he made a mistake with that. He grouted the floor tile, but did not grout the tile under the vanity. This must be done for structural integrity. Work still wasn't done, so when he showed up today and my husband told him we were unhappy with the work, he was shocked we didn't like it. They were unable to come to agreement on fixing anything, so my husband paid him and asked him to leave. Now we're out the $ AND we have to try to fix everything. We didn't have a signed contract with Randal, so we have little recourse, but extremely disappointed. Given our previous interaction we had no reason to believe his work wouldn't be up to the same standard as the prior job he did for us.

Randals remodeling hired unskilled workers and sub contractors unfarmiliar with some of the work. As a result, the foundation was out of square 5 1/2 inches. Randal did not cover the exposed work and rain entered the finished living area. A number of items (not cosmetic) were left incomplete and Randal has been paid in full. Although Randal is a nice guy, I wouldnt recommend him for any type of larger job.

I hired Randal based on previous reviews, and was very happy to see they were right. Professional, courteous and with meticulous attention to detail, my job was completed well ahead of schedule and in the quoted price. I would gladly hire Randal again!

I could not say enough good things about Randal's Remodeling, Inc. He fixed two doors on my rental property. One had been kicked in by a bad renter. The other door was a garage door that was damaged, and the frame was rotting. The job was not so easy, being my house was built in 1926. The doorways were smaller and not todays standard size. Also the door into the house was molded in plaster not sheet rock. I thought they would never look good again. Randy was a life saver. He knew just what to do! The doors look better than ever,even down to the cedar trim. Randal was courteous, finished the job quickly. He did fantastic work!! Thank you !

Although we haven't yet decided what to do with our problem, Randal's Remodeling, Inc. called within the hour of my submission request. I was very impressed. He answered my questions in a professional manner and offered suggestions.

The work was done very well and on time. Also reasonably priced. Very happy with the results.

It was a small project, but I was very pleased with the end results. He contacted me right away, we set up an appointment for him to view the job, went over the price ( which I thought was very reasonable), and set a date for him to do the job within the next few days. It all went very quickly, which also made me very happy since I had been waiting for a year to have this done. He was friendly and courteous. He cleaned up everything when he was done and hauled the old door and frame away.

I had another installer finish the project. Except for issues with two doorway thresholds, work was OK.

Randal replaced the steps leading to the front and back of my house. He also installed a window air conditioner in a bedroom window. He has great attention to detail, and is very particular about the quality of the work he does. He called me the same day I contacted Service Magic (on a Saturday, no less) and was out here the end of the same day to get what he needed to create the estimate. The work went over estimate, due to some dry rot that he was unable to see when he inspfirst came our, that was behind the stairs. He let me know what the cost overrun would be, and gave me options for the materials to be used. He does a great job of cleaning up after he finishes each day, and there was no left-over debris from the work. I"m very happy with his work, and would use him again without hesitation.

Within 5 minutes of sending my request to service magic, Randy had contacted me. My project was to get a window replaced. We set up a time for him to come out and measure the window pane. He showed up when he said he would. Measured the window and said it would be 10 days before the glass would come in. He contacted me to set up a time to install the glass. Within an hour of him showing up I had my window replaced. He cleaned up after himself. He even offered to help put everything back together. Randy is a very nice person to deal with. I would definely refer him to anyone who has projects that need to be done. I plan on hanging onto his card and contacting him in the future for upcoming projects.

Has been very receptive and competitively priced; good communication - have ordered windows and door for porch but haven't been installed as of 6/25/08.

Rady is very professional with excellent skills and insight. He has been great in helping me make decisions on the project of finishing off my basement. He covers all aspects of a project. I plan on hiring him to remodel my kitchen also. He is a top notch carpenter. I am extremely happy with his work. Marybeth Fischer
