Reviews
Write a ReviewGreat fast service. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Very professional. I would definitely recommend them.
The job was done quickly, cleanly, professionally. I was very satisfied with this work.
They did a good job and I will hire them again.
It was two days before Thanksgiving, and my old garbage disposal sprung a leak. There was quite a lot of water under the kitchen sink. I immediately bought a new disposal at Home Depot. On a recommendation from Angi, today I called Rapid Plumbing Service. The owner and his assistant arrived on time, assessed the problem and removed the old disposal and installed the new disposal. Their workmanship was excellent. They were extremely professional and very personable. They even checked why I had very little cold water pressure from the faucet and determined that the under sink water filter was not working properly and probably had a clog. I was advised to buy a new filter. I was not charged anything additional for checking the water filter. I would not hesitate to recommend Rapid Plumbing Service for any and all plumbing issues.
Chris from Rapid Plumbing did a marvelous job replacing the boiler and water heater in no time. HIs skills and good predisposition absolutely amazed me. I will definitely call him for any other related issues without a doubt. He certainly deserves more than 5 stars!!!!
very prompt service.
Very nice people to work with very polite and on time
My experience with Chris from Rapid Plumbing in Wantagh was not good. We called him for a leak coming from the boiler relief valve. He came to my house and by just looking at the boiler from afar, he was able to somehow conclude that the boiler would blow up and cause a flood and needed to be replaced as an emergency and he was the right guy to do it for $14,000. How he came to this conclusion, I have no idea but that was the first red flag. I chose to have him fix the problem i called about first to see if he is good. He changed some parts and collected his money and left. Two days later, leak was still persistent which basically meant that not only did he not fix the problem he was called for but decided to change some other parts that were likely not the issue because it certainly did not solve the problem. I called him. He was defensive about the work he did saying that the parts were needed to be changed. When I asked him why the leak had not been fixed after changing the parts, he got very angry and told me to F myself and hung up. Later he texted me to tell me that the work he did was needed on the boiler. Fine. For the benefit of doubt, May be so but that was not the reason he was called. I was out $400 and Chris did not solve the problem he was called for - the leaky relief valve on the boiler. Not only did he not solve the problem but he was unprofessional when I raised concern and he started using words to try and intimidate me. I am putting this review here hoping that others see it and tread carefully when interacting with Chris from Rapid Plumbing, especially if he tells you (without actually investigating the problem that your boiler is about to blow up and the only way out is if you let him replace the boiler for $14,000. To say that this was perhaps the most unethical and dishonest interaction I have had with a repairman in some time would be an understatement. I know he has lots of good reviews also but after my experience, I highly doubt that those reviews are real or accurate. If this review helps even one person avoid being taken advantage of, I would feel better that I saved someone else the pain and disappointment of being taken advantage of. Please be aware of Rapid plumbing tactics and tread carefully when dealing with Chris. He talks a lot and sounds like he knows what he is talking about but that was not my experience with him. He lacks experience as a tradesman, is not professional and frankly is dishonest.
Chris is honest, efficient, skilled, and neat. We were happy with his work.
CHRIS WENT ABOVE and BEYOND!!! I hired Chris of Rapid Plumbing for a quick simple job...to install a new kitchen faucet;...a job that we all expected to take no more than 45-60 minutes. Due to a defective faucet (Amazon, ?)... Chris ended up being at my house for over hours!! And...to save time, he volunteered himself to go pick up some supplies that I ultimately needed to complete the job to my satisfaction...while I had to go to different store to buy another faucet. So...Chris removed 1 old faucet and installed what turned out to be a defective new faucet (that he spent over an hour trying to fix what was an unfixable problem with the faucet)...then removed 'that' defective faucet & installed a "2nd new faucet. Now...given how much additional time & labor he ended up spending on my job, you'd expect that a routine plumber would 'hammer' the homeowner with excessive addition labor charges. HE DID NOT!! So much so, I ended up giving him MORE than the nominal additional charge he suggested - because what he said he was going to charge me I did not feel was enough to properly compensate him for his time & for not leaving me hanging with the defective faucet - because in all honesty, that was not his doing or his problem - it was MINE, and Chris helped me out BIG-TIME!!! I can not thank Chris enough!! I was & am truly impressed with Chris ethics, craftsmanship & responsiveness to his client needs. I will MOST DEFINITELY use Chris/Rapid Plumbing again for all my plumbing needs!!
