"Hi Richard, I?m sorry to see this review, especially because I gave you a guarantee on the work and made it clear that you could contact me if there were any issues. You never called, texted, or gave me an opportunity to inspect the door after the work was completed. Had you contacted me and the rust was actually caused by an issue with my workmanship, I would have taken full accountability and returned to correct it at no additional cost. I stand behind my work and the guarantee I provide. I would also like to clarify that the original $400 agreement was to prepare and paint one side of the door. However, while completing the job, I chose to prepare and paint the other side as well at no additional charge, simply as a courtesy because I wanted you to be completely satisfied with the finished door. After seeing the completed work, you voluntarily gave me an additional $50. That is why I was genuinely surprised to read that only three days later the work was supposedly ?worthless,? when I never received a single call or message about any problem. Had the rust actually returned that quickly, I would have expected the opportunity to see it, determine what happened, and correct it under my guarantee. I take responsibility for my work when there is an issue with my workmanship, but I cannot address a problem that was never reported to me. I would have gladly returned, inspected the door, and corrected any issue that was my responsibility at no additional cost. I only wish you had given me that opportunity before hiring someone else and posting this review."
